Excellent blend, smokes smoothly, stay lit, and smells great.

The Maple Truffle blend is pleasant to smell and has a mild taste of maple. It is becoming one of my favorite after dinner smokes.

Pleasant smoke, nice bag and room night. Needs a good charring to remain lit. Good with your morning coffee. Has the tiniest of bites. Great value tobacco.

The rum topping can be overpowering at times but, for the price, it’s a good no-frills aromatic to enjoy. Make sure to let it dry out to really get most out of this blend

Tastes like a Smokey Rum Cake. Not too sweet, just right.

The closest I have in my collection currently to Spiced Maple Truffle is Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic. From my jar of Spiced Maple Truffle I can smell the sweet Maple and hint of Rum which together has a better and stronger aroma than the slightly sweet hint of an unidentified liquor in the Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic. Spiced Maple Truffle has a courser ribbon cut and more obvious topping than Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic but not something you can see but rather feel and smell as you pack your pipe. I don't like Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic due to its poor room note and choking smoke so I didn't know what to expect from Spiced Maple Truffle. It came ready to smoke, not dry, but a perfect moisture level. Packed well. Did not burn hot. First light made it half way through the bowl. Flavors came through for me with a good balance between the flavors and the tobacco. Acceptable and non-choking room note. I noticed a faint crackling sound for a time but at the half way point the faint sounds disappeared. The Maple gave way to a pleasant spiced Rum about half way through and the spice carried the experience across the finish line. This is first non-Vanilla, non-Black Cavendish aromatic that I have really liked. I'm very glad I tried this blend and look forward to enjoying this in the months ahead. The 1 lb bag fit into two 32 oz Mason jars and one 8 oz jar.
