Erik Nording sells more freehand-style pipes than anyone else in the US, and when you look at these new Nording Brown Matte #2 pipes you'll know why. These pipes are carved to follow and enhance the grain of the well-cured briar blocks they're made from. They feature the natural plateaux outer surface of the block on the rim and sometimes on the end of the shank. They're treated to a golden stain with a rich brown contrast that really makes the grain pop, and the matte finish gives them a warm feeling and appearance.
