There's something about the tomato shape that I really like. It could be the thickness of the walls that make it nicer to handle, or it might be the shallower chamber for those times I don't have a hour to smoke. In any case, the Nording Hunter 99 Quail is a nice example of this underappreciated shape. This one has a ruggedly textured black finish with just a bit of shine. The stem is a striking Danish-style inset bit that's modeled in a tortoiseshell acrylic. This was first created about 20 years ago which speaks to the staying power of the shape and finish.
