All new, all Nub!
Nub, from Oliva Cigars' Studio Tabac, burst onto the scene a while back, bringing a whole new concept with their stubby, chunky shapes and a variety of blends to suit a wide range of enthusiasts' tastes. So what would they do for an encore? Here's the answer - Nub Nuance (formerly Nub Cafe)
Departure #1 - not all of the sizes are the short, large ring gauges we've come to expect.
Departure #2 - all Nub Nuance have been infused with a variety of coffee shop-inspired flavors for those times when your sweet tooth gets the better of you.
There are six shapes in the lineup. Two are distinctly Nub - a 3.7 x 54 and a 4 x 60, but the rest are more conventional and slender. They come in three distinctly different blends - Single Roast, Triple Roast, and Double Roast.
Single Roast (formerly Cappuccino) features a blonde Connecticut shade wrapper, and the infusion has smooth coffee flavor with creamy vanilla undertones. The cigar also adds a bit of sweet wood to the taste.
Triple Roast (formerly Espresso) uses a Sumatra wrapper and the coffee flavor is a bit deeper, accompanied by dark chocolate notes, with hints of roasted nuts.
Double Roast (formerly Macchiato) also boasts a Sumatra wrapper and the coffee flavor is sweeter with milk chocolate in the mix
