Ole Shenandoah Single Cask

Whiskey fans may have noticed that pipe tobaccos with the flavor of tangy-sweet whiskey can be a little bitey, but not Ole Shenandoah Single Cask. Select Burleys and Virginias are joined with a touch of black Cavendish, and finished with just enough whiskey flavor to create a pleasant room note and subtle taste. If you love the sweet tang of whiskey, crack open a Single Cask.

Nothing Special
A soft and mellow blend that lets you feel your whiskey notes. A pleasant room note and practically no tongue bite. I have tried absolutely all the Ole Shenandoah series and this is the one that least attracts me, which does not mean it is not a good mixture. I like the aromatic tobacco that is characterized by something, its strength, its taste, its aroma, etc. but this mixture has nothing characteristic. I will continue to smoke it until finish the tin, however I am not sure to buy it again.

Hot pipes rejoice!
Not for me. This tobacco seems to burn hot with some tongue bite. If you like Dunhills Early Morning you probably would like this. If you night Night Cap or Frog Morton as I do you may find it less than satisfying.

Try single cask
This tobacco was so smooth. This was my first taste of an ole shenandoah product and I am a fan. After the first few puffs I knew I had found a keeper.

Aromatic lite
Single Cask is the latest of the Ole Shenandoah line I've tried. It is smooth and mellow, like the rest of the brand, but it is the least aromatic of them all. Yes, the whiskey note and flavor is as in the manufacutrer's description, subtle. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing. The tobaccos are top rate in flavor, quality and proper moisture right out of the tin. Smokes cool with minimal relights. If it were slightly more aromatic I would have given it five stars, but I can't complain about the tobaccos in this blend.
