Padilla Vintage Reserve has landed, and what a great addition to the Padilla lineup it is!
The first thing you notice after the spiffy band is the dark, reddish-brown Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper, rare in and of itself. Underneath is a Nicaraguan Habano binder surrounding a collection of Cuban-seed Corojo long-fillers. These cigars are gently box-pressed and the craftsmanship is impeccable. Nicely firm in the hand but with an easy draw, these medium to full-bodied gems are loaded with notes of coffee, a bit of cocoa, a deep sweetness, with some mellow spice. If you're going to try one new-to-you cigar today, the Padilla Vintage Reserve should be it.
