Perla del Mar is an old Cuban brand meaning "Pearl of the Sea", which is also a name given to a special golden-colored leaf discovered by early explorers when they landed on Cuba's shores. The folks at J.C. Newman fell in love with the name and worked with the factory they've previously partnered with to make El Baton and Brick House, to create these mellow to medium-bodied gems.
Premium long-fillers from Nicaragua's three main growing regions form the core of Perla del Mar. They're swathed in a beautiful honey-blonde Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper and nicely box pressed. You'll notice a leather and cedar character with toasty nut flavors, subtle spices and a hint of brown sugar. This is a remarkably smooth and creamy cigar with a nice, clean finish. For those times when you want a cigar that doesn't weigh heavily on your palate, but has plenty of flavor, you'll want to try Perla del Mar.
