Peter Stokkebye English Luxury is a nice introduction to Latakia blends. Made of bright Virginia, unflavored black Cavendish, white Burley and Cyprian Latakia, it allows the smoky flavor of the dark leaf to shine without overpowering the blend. Peter Stokkebye English luxury is also ideal for anyone who likes a cool-burning blend with a touch of sweetness.
I got the 16 ounce bag and before I knew it, the bag was empty. It's a pleasant tobacco for daily use. Easy to pack, mellow aroma, and good flavor. As with all tobacco's, it took a bit to get used to and my pipes would get wet. I just left the tobacco in my pouch for a day and it dried it out just enough. It's flavor is sort of like coffee, caramel sweet, a bit of dark chocolate and of course smoke. While this isn't my personal favorite tobacco to smoke, its a great daily driver. I'd recommend trying a smaller size than 16 ounces to see if you'd enjoy it. I'd say at the worse, it won't offend you but it might not be as strong a flavor profile as you'd like or expect. It is a smooth smoke though. It's all preference. Hope this helps.

One could argue that this is an "Americanized" English/Scottish blend since it contains burley along with latakia and some soft slightly sweet cavendish....but whatever you want to call it, it is exquisitely well-balanced and an easy all-day smoke. For the quality, the consistency, and the price point it is hard to beat. Love this stuff.

Excellent aroma, burns cool. I discovered Balkan Sobranie as a treat 50 years ago, and I've given up trying to replace it. This is the "go-to" tobacco for five- or six-pipe evenings.

A mild pleasant smoke

Peter Stokkebye 17 English Luxury is one of my two favorite tobaccos. The other is Arrango Balkan Supreme. #17 is a superb blend with a delightful taste and aroma of smokie toasted malt. I find it to be a satisfyingly mild smoke without tongue bite or harshness.
I would like here to correct a recent review on the Peterson Standard System 305 pipe. I gave it a 5 star review, but the rating some how ended up with 3 stars! The Peterson 305 is a superb pipe with sublime smoking qualities which complements the English Luxury.

Hard to go wrong with this tobacco blend. For best results let a small quantity of loose tobacco dry for 24 hours before using to avoid bite and excess moisture. As I buy in bulk I just place a couple bowls in an empty tin to dry overnight.

My first non aromatic blend. Smells great in the bag, reminds me of a campfire, but the taste is where it’s at. Not at all overpowering and the taste is awesome, does not leave a bad aftertaste. Smokes cool and clean without much fuss. My wife does not mind the room note which is surprising, because it os not an aromatic. Win, win with this one. Will be ordering more.

English Luxury is a fine tobacco, I haven't explored much with other English but this was the first and I loved it. Aromatics are also a favorite of mine and his blend Highland Whiskey is amazing!

I'm a new pipe smoker, so take my review with a grain of salt, but I have 4 different blends and this is one of my favorites so far. I love the flavor, it burns predictably, consistent, and is incredibly smooth and clean. I can control my temp easily, and the smoke sticks together really nicely for smoke rings (if your into that sort of thing). It packs in well enough for a ribbon cut. If you enjoy English tobacco blends I'd give this one a try. I'm sure you'll find room in it for your rotation or daily use.

I was shopping around. Had smoked pipes since college in 1951-59, then largely quit as small cigars were simpler and easier. Gave up the cigars in early 2022. Went shopping for some newer pipe tobacco. Was intrigued by the name. A bit disappointed compared to Captain Black which I usually smoked, but a decent type with a nice flavor and easy to keep going. The texture moisture, mix is excellent.

Definitely a mellow smoke. If you’re in the mood for a relaxing and pleasant experience this is it imo. There’s no bite at all, it’s a creamy dense smoke with the slightest bit of spice and the smallest touch of citrus way in the background. Definitely an all day smoke for me!!!

This tobacco is my first venture into non-aromatics and english blends. Upon my very first smoke, it became my number one. This tobacco has an extremely smokey scent out of the tin, which I actually find slightly unpleasant. But, once you dry it out for a few minutes, pack your pipe, and get to puffing all is forgiven. The taste is great and the smell is better. Plus, it has just enough vitamin N to put an extremely casual smoker, which I am, in a state of blissful reverie. Because of this, I have ordered a few more english blends and other non-aromatics to try. Can't wait to open that box!
