Peter Stokkebye 17 English Luxury

Peter Stokkebye English Luxury is a nice introduction to Latakia blends. Made of bright Virginia, unflavored black Cavendish, white Burley and Cyprian Latakia, it allows the smoky flavor of the dark leaf to shine without overpowering the blend. Peter Stokkebye English luxury is also ideal for anyone who likes a cool-burning blend with a touch of sweetness.

17 English Luxury
Very nice smoke. Not an overwhelming latakia presence, just right. Smoke very cool and burns to a grey ash. Will buy more.

adding this to my shelf
Alright, im calling this one 'close enough' to Frog Morton as a replacement. And this time I wont get fooled, Im going to be stacking it deep. It tickles my fancy as an easy, pleasant smoke with enough to it to find depth. There is a light cream in the back especially on retrohale, leather, light incense, and the latakia wood smoke. Good after taste. Tin note is leathery and musty, makes you want to load up and grab a book. Thanks P & C!

Very nice mild English. It reminded me of Dunhill My Mixture 965. Great effort by the blender and fast shipping from P&C.

This Time It's Forever....
Very pleasant presentation of an English Blend, Mild Flavored Smoke accented by just enough Latakia make it distinguished and easy to smoke and not overbearing, Glad I narrowed down the choices at last.

PawBoe and the English
I've been looking for a Bulk blend to replace my John Bull, since it does not come in Bulk.I really enjoy this, got a little tongue bite, but I was a little too eager. Moisture was just right. Tried this in my Ukrainian Hand Carved Dragon Pear, smokes pretty nice. I'll be trying my Meerschaum, Porcelain, and Briars next. I also purchased 4 oz. Stokkebye 306 English Oriental. I also enjoyed Kramers blend for Cary Grant. All be it, it is on a rivals other site. I'm really starting to like the English!!

Like This Blend
I'm beginning to become a fan of "English" blends. When I first opened the bag it had a scent of ginger and licorice that did dissipate over time (but they all do) and had a kind of smoky quality I like in my tobacco. I feel English is a good alternative to aromatics and is the best of non-aromatics or plain tobacco. I must try some more of "English" blends, as this is my second one.

Glad I gave this blend a try...
I am a fan of English blends and on a whim had ordered a couple of ounces of a few of these blends. I kept PS 17 English Luxury in my regular rotation of tobaccos. I began to notice PS 17 was one of my favorite go to blends. These days it's my favorite daily English bowl. It has a satisfying amount of Latakia without being overpowering. In my opinion it would certainly be worth a try for any pipe smoker who enjoys a pleasant surprise.

Once or twice a day smoke
Not a tobacco to smoke all day long but it is nice to relax to in the evening. Has a pine type sent and taste with a bit of sweet at the end. Very relaxing smoke.

Good English style , a little lighter than some but nice and easy to burn.

A delightful smoke
When I smoked cigarettes, I rolled a blend of PS Amsterdam Shag, and it was delicious, so when I put down the papers and picked up a pipe, I went with a name I knew, and Stokkebye has not disappointed! Being new, it's hard for me to describe the flavors, but it's a very pleasant smoke, and it lights and burns well. Sipping the smoke, I don't get any tongue tingling over the course of a bowl. this is a good one, and I've already put away a couple ounces for aging.

Smokes like a good burley with a touch of Virginia, dash of Latakia and enough cavendish to make it smell pleasant.

Feel like Royalty with English Luxury
I recently purchased bulk of the three English blends by P.S. I am so glad that I did. I love to start my morning with a nice cup of coffee and a good flavorful English blend. This one hits the spot... Easy to pack and light.. moisture was perfect and stayed burning after my char light. Flavorful but not overpowering with a nice wisp of sweetness from time to time.. This is a great relaxing smoke with plenty of character to last throughout the bowl and it at this fantastic bulk price, your wallet will thank you as well

Pretty Good
As a casual smoker I tried this in a MM cob and Savinelli briar on different days. This seems to be a mild English type, less smoky aroma than other similar types, and a little less flavor but pretty good nonetheless.

Something Different
When I started smoking a pipe, one of the first tobaccos I tried was an English blend. Naturally as a beginner, I didn't really care for it too much. However, after a year and half of smoking aros and non-aros, I was craving something just a bit different. Really enjoyed smoking this blend. May not be a daily smoke for me, but something to smoke from time to time.

Peter Stokkebye 17 English Luxury is my favorite smoke anytime. It's cool, mild, and doesn't leave an aftertaste in my mouth. Morning , afternoon, evening..... It's the best.

Excellent Blend
Very flavorful ! I thoroughly enjoyed this blend. It is very reminiscent of Dunhill's London Mixture, at a fraction of the cost. I would recommend this blend and I'll definitely buy it again.

PS English Luxury
I like this blend. It is slightly sweet with just enough latakia to make it interesting. And the burley keeps it from being too sweet

This is my favorite English blend to date. I rotate it along with the English Oriental Supreme and Stokkebye's Natural Dutch Cavendish

Great first experience with Latakia blended tobacco
I've always smoked Va, Burley and Cavendish blends. I thought this would be a good way to break into English style tobaccos and wanted to give this a try based on reviews I've read for this tobacco. Wow, I had no idea what I was missing. This tobacco is flavorful and very cool smoking all the way to the bottom of the bowl. It certainly is a departure from what I was smoking for years, in taste and aroma. For me the smokiness of the Latakia tobacco in the blend translates into an earthiness that enhances the flavor but is not overpowering. Surprisingly the aroma is pleasing. It has quickly become one my favorite tobbaco's.

Smooth and Tasty
I have tried most of the English blends offered by Peter Stokkebye, and this is my favorite. It is a smooth smoke for sure, with good flavor, and no bite. It is not overpowering in any way, and the room note is more acceptable than the more full english blends. This is an all day smoke for me, and I'll be keeping this in stock in my cellar for sure! Two thumbs up!

I like this English blend a lot. It has a complex fragrance with just the right amount of Latakia. It stores well and continues to be inexpensive. Keep it up.

Smooth and Relaxing English
This is a smooth relaxing blend. I'm trying out some of the many Light or Light-Medium English Blends and this is one of the best so far , to me. Thank you for the fast shipping on my orders too !

Smooth and always relaxing
Whenever I lit a bowl full of this tobacco I instinctively lay back in my chair and assume a contemplative position. It has now become my favorite tobacco for daydreaming and acknowledging that life is simply good. Perfectly smooth with agreeable notes.

My Go-To Tobacco
English Luxury is my main tobacco. It is a smooth blend that is not too strong. Lots of flavor and smokes cool.

Excellent "English" blend!
As a fan of "English" blends, I found this one note worthy. Does tend to burn a bit hot, and a churchwarden is recommended, but still pretty smooth when given a day or two to breath first. This one has earned a place in a mason jar in my closet to be enjoyed regularly. Room note was a bit much for the missus so definitely a warm weather blend for me.

Customer Testimonials
#17 is a little strong for me. It is good and I could live it but for now I will look for an ENGLISH BLEND that is more to my taste
Peter Stokkebye has a lot of good blends for sure .. but this is definitely a fancy tasting blend with a nice smell and easy on the people around while smoking . I will be getting more along with more Peter Stokkebye 52 proper english... both are very full of flavor and a real treat.
This is an exceptional English blend. It is a good primary tobacco that equals the more expensive tin blends. I added a bit more Latakia, but it can stand on it's.
This tobacco is my first venture into non-aromatics and english blends. Upon my very first smoke, it became my number one. This tobacco has an extremely smokey scent out of the tin, which I actually find slightly unpleasant. But, once you dry it out for a few minutes, pack your pipe, and get to puffing all is forgiven. The taste is great and the smell is better. Plus, it has just enough vitamin N to put an extremely casual smoker, which I am, in a state of blissful reverie. Because of this, I have ordered a few more english blends and other non-aromatics to try. Can't wait to open that box!
Another good blend. Got 5lbs. Will keep this around for a great toke.
