It’s a pretty middle of
It’s a pretty middle of the road aro. Not one I’d reach for all the time but definitely if I want to change things up. Not bad at all.

A little sharp but not too sharp. Not a lot of vanilla flavor or room note but it’s an easy smoke

I thought it would be
I thought it would be more aromatic. The bite was mellow and pleasant on the tongue. One attribute I especially enjoyed was its “ burnabilitt” requiring much fewer re-lights.

Yeah it’s good tobacco!

Swing and a miss
Smells great in the pouch, is kind of shag cut, so I knew I might have a problem with it. Yes, it tastes like vanilla, sort of. But hot hot hot. Sorry to say the folks at Peterson missed this one.

Hot hot citrus and a whisper of Vanilla
This is the least Vanilla aromatic I’ve smoked so far. I definitely get more of the citrus. It burns pretty hot despite my best efforts to slow my cadence. It does have a nice room note and I’m at ease smoking it out and about. It’s a far cry from incredible but not the worst smoke of my life.

You might like it, but I am unimpressed
The vanilla flavor of this is not very pronounced, and the rest of the tobacco tastes sort of dull. It's woody and has the taste and aroma of dry hay, not a bad thing in itself, but it's not very interesting. I don't look for a Big Bang of top flavor, but if it says it's going to have vanilla flavor, I should be able to taste it. For the price, you might do as well with a big bag of generic tobacco.

Not for me.
The best part of this was the smell when I first opener the pouch. That is where it ended. I have never actually had tongue bite before, I have enjoyed smoking pipes (aromatics) and cigars since the late 90's. The second I lit this stuff I knew something was off. Two days later, my entire mouth and throat is still feeling irritated. Maybe this can be blended with something else to make it better any ideas are welcome.

Aran is awesome!
Recently purchased a pack of Peterson’s Aran. Great flavor and room note, just the right strength and is a very soothing smoke after a long, hard day.

Can you top this?
Every Peterson I own is a winner. The Aran is added to the list.

Peterson Aran
Not bad, pretty bland though.

Smells good in pouch, but the tasting notes are mediocre at best. Some very subtle vanilla came through, but that's about it. Kind of bland. Room notes are not offensive at all, but also bland. Tobacco was too dry, and burned hot and wanted to really bite, which forced me to slow my puffing down to a near stop. Overall, it was like someone secretly switched my Peterson tobacco with a cheap, value brand of tobacco.

Aran Mixture review???????
My thoughts on Peterson Aran mixture is on par with Captain Black. With that being said in my opinion Aran mixture is really no better than Captain Black and all the tongue bite it brings for me. To me it was a waste of my money. If you smoke it slow, fast, ect it doesn't matter its just about as equal to drug store tobacco. Now I speak for myself only I hope it helps someone.

Not for me
This tobacco is okay. I prefer the black Cavendish blends from Lane and Cao.

Great Aromatic
Nice light aromatic, with some toungue bite as it burns a little hot. Give it some time to dry and its a lovely tobacco.

Nothing to crow about.
Purchased this as part of a Peterson sampler. I'm a big fan of vanilla aromatics, just not this one, some vanilla flavor, but nothing to make it stand out. An adequate smoke, will use up the pouch, but not add this to my regular vanilla line up.

Quality Blend from Peterson
This came with my Peterson 338 Plip Aran and was a good quality tobacco. It's one of my favorites that Peterson offers so far. The other is Peterson's Connemara Black. Both are quality blends. IMO.

Good Aromatic
Good tobacco, light, aromatic, rich vanilla taste. I had some issue with tongue bite, but dried out a little and it's a really good smoke. I will definitely be getting more in.
