Peterson Aran Series Pipes

This pipe is gorgeous and smokes really well I would expect nothing less from a Peterson

This is currently my favorite pipe in my rotation. It smokes exceptionally well, the tobacco stays dry! I recently put a va/per blend through it, and it smoked nearly to the bottom of the chamber with only 3 relights after the initial light up. It's very lightweight, it looks like it should be heavier than it actually is, but if youre a clencher like I am, you'll prefer it's weight. For some unknown reason, after several smokes, I noticed my pipe doesn't have the sterling silver ferrule like the one pictured. Not sure if mine is an anomaly or what. But other than that it's perfect. Best pipe I've added so far.

Very nice pipe

This is a beautiful pipe. However, the shape is not to my liking. The end of the pipe stem is too close to where the tapper section ends. As a result, the pipe can only be smoked while holding it in your hand. It is awkward and unstable to try and hold the pipe in your teeth alone. Had I realized the problem with this design, I would have purchased a different pipe design.

Well balanced and looks great. Large bowl equals longer smoother experience.

Superb smoking pipe

Received my B10 today and it smokes great right out of the box. First pipe I have bought in a long time with a vulcanite stem and question the vulcanite stem. It seems more like acrylic than vulcanite as it harder and more shiny. The fit and finish is very nice.

My second Peterson and got the last B10 in stock. I prefer a vulcanite stem and hope I like it.

Just smoked the inaugural bowl with Boswell's Mild English. It was great. It smoked cool and with a nice draw. Only had to do 2 relights after the "false" light. I was to "puffy" and the bowl got hot for a while, but still smoked great. And surprised that The P-Lip didn't bother me at all. Nice and light and hung well on the the mouth. I like this pipe a lot.

Couldn't be happier. I've been smoking this pipe almost daily (usually multiple bowls) for two weeks and it is my favorite for Virginia flake. Easily passes a cleaner and it smokes nice and dry no matter how I abuse it. Two things that don't bother me but may bother some: the stamping on the nickel accent isn't completely clear and I needed to swab out the shank with ever clear early on (just once) to get rid of a bit of off taste (from stain, I suppose).

I bought this Aran 999 plip about a month ago, i am not good at rotating my pipes i love this pipe and have smoked it every day since i received it about 3/4 of the time every day.

wonderful pipe. first time smoking a plip, it is definitely a different experience. I recommend for any avid smoker.

This is a comfortable smoking pipe and I thought it would be fitting to smoke the Peterson Connoisseur's Choice tobacco for the first light. The finish quality is not as nice as a comparable Savinelli, however it is a close second over other brands of pipes. I would recommend this Peterson Aran model.

This is my first Peterson pipe and first Plip. The size is somewhat diminutive but perfect for me. I am still breaking the pipe in using the Peterson Irish Oak tobacco. The bowl is thick and absorbs heat well.The mouth fit is comfortable. The Plip keeps the tongue cool and, surprisingly, the palate as well. This is the most cool smoking pipe I have ever experienced and is my new favorite pipe. I love this pipe.

Been wanting a Peterson for a long time for my collection, and finally decided on my favorite style smoker, in this case, the 999 Aran. Of course if you are going to buy your first Peterson, it should have a p-lip. Well the first question was what to smoke in the pipe since it arrived with four different Peterson tobacco pouch samplers. So I chose the English blend, packed her up, and lit up. The P was true to what I had heard, smoke off the pallet as opposed to the tongue. The 999 smoke true and steady first time out. The tobacco was lovely, and only had to relight once. Smoked the pipe several times with the same results. Just love those bulldogs for a clean smoke. The Aran is a wonderful pipe, and I highly recommend it. Now, I just have to decide which Peterson I will purchase next without my wife giving me hell.

My 81 year old brother just celebrated his birthday with the Peterson bent bulldog I gave him. He loves it! A Peterson fan for life, he enjoys being an 81 year old pipe smoker.
