Peterson Sweet Killarney

Peterson Sweet Killarney begins with two types of Virginias - a ribbon-cut bright and some rubbed-out flake. These tobaccos are combined with slowly-steamed black Cavendish and form the base to which a luxurious cream caramel essence is applied. The flavor is mellow and sweet with a comforting room note. Smooth and warm, Sweet Killarney is ready to sweep you away to the old sod.

Sweet Killarney
I am very saddened that this is no longer avaliable. Excellent smoke and burns well

Cavendish with a hint of berries
I always think I've tasted my favorite Virginia/Cavendish blend...and then I taste the next one. Despite smelling and tasting almost exactly like a blueberry Nutri-Grain bar, this stuff is bloody marvelous. I'd recommend Sweet Killarney to anyone who loves aromatic tobacco.

One of my favorites
Pleasant smoke, enjoy the room note. I let it dry out a bit before packing it, It lends to a cool smoke.

A mild taste and pleasing
A mild taste and pleasing aroma, a bit of sweetness, but not overpowering, burns well with no bite. It’s always been in my rotation

Great smoke
Really fantastic. I enjoy the flavors and how it changes as you smoke.

I liked this but I would say it is a little too wet of a smoke at first. It stays lit but I think you need to let it dry out some before smoking. It is a sweet taste but not too much. I like this better than the De Luxe mixture from Peterson.

( One of my favorite tobaccos I have )
As a new smoker I was looking for something sweet and I found it but in a good way I can say! If you are looking for a sweet tobacco and a good aroma this is it.

Lives up to the Peterson name.
This is on my top 5 picks. Great rich flavor with a hint of caramel over tones.

An airomatic for the young and old.
Didn't know what to expect but I'm a die hard Peterson fan. Sweet Killarney was very mild with no bite despite it's intense tin aroma. It grows on you as you smoke it and leaves a nice room note. No trouble keeping it lit and just the right amount of moisture. Smoked it in a Peterson Donegal Rocky 408 and they took to each other like a duck to water. By the way P&C knows how to take care of it's customers.

Nice nicotine kick.
Quite a kick for a "mild" strength tobacco. Got a nice buzz, great flavor and room note. r&b

My Best Backup
Smoking a good pound of Trout Stream a month, Kilarney is one of two other blends I go to for a changeup. It has rich nuances and is, as the 1950's magazine ads for tobacco. ttermed, "satisfying."(synonymous with "nicotine.)
Customer Testimonials
Very nice tobacco. Tin note has fruit note that is very pleasant. Upon lighting, you get a very nice rush of flavor, lots of sweetness, followed by caramel later on in the bowel. This does come a little moist in the tin, so let it sit out for a few before backing. Very creamy smoke. The room note is very pleasant....will put this on the reorder list

Smokes too smooth, but has little character and flavor for me. This coming from a guy who leans toward English and general Perique blends. A good starter for someone letting go of aromatics. It was reccomended as a good virginia with loads of flavor. I can't say it lives up to that.

Burns smooth, has a really strong Cavendish come-thru on the exhale. Enjoying some right now, very wintry flavor that must be enjoyed with some strong brew. Be advised, as in my experience, this Peterson Tin like the rest to come very moist. Be sure to allow dry time before initial smoke to guarantee smooth sailing.

Not bad! Has a nice caramel aroma and a nice taste. Smokes pretty smooth too.
