Nestor Plasencia is the man behind some of the finest cigars made, with many of them being made for other companies like Alec Bradley and Rocky Patel. He's involved with tobaccos from the ground up - growing, harvesting, processing and manufacture. When you grow as much tobacco as Nestor does, you'll come across some truly exceptional leaf, and some of them have gone into making this very special cigar.
Plasencia Reserva 1898 boasts its goodness in every way. The wrapper is a dark Corojo grown in the Jalapa Valley of Nicaragua. The long-fillers are among the choicest tobaccos from Nicaragua and Honduras, each and every one of them aged for a minimum of five years. The result is a full-flavored delight, with cocoa washing over your palate at first light, with notes of cedar, nuts and leather following. There's subtle spice here, but it never dominates. This is as good as it gets.
