They work!
They work and they're cheap. I can't afford a piece of wooden furniture to hold my pipes (at this time). These do the job and they allow me to place my pipes in my cabinet near the tobaccos I most often smoke in them.

A piece of junk - get the metal one!!!
The first one broke while I was opening it for the first time. P&C immediately sent a replacement, which broke while I was opening it for the first time. P&C has been excellent to work with and offered to do a refund, but it is frankly not worth my time to do it. Avoid this plastic pipe rest and go for the metal one - you'll be glad you did.

Not bad for the price
Probably not the greatest for Briar pipes due to being made poorly but I only smoke the short nose warmer cob pipes and these work fine for cobs happy with this purchase and just ordered three more these are great as long as you don't constantly open and close them.

Plastic Folding Pipe Stand Rest
These are junk. They are not the ones P&C has sent in the past. These are hard plastic & the pegs that rotate are very small. I ordered 3 & just opening all three the rotating peg broke. The stop peg is much larger & I see it could break if pressure applied but never got them open to find out. Avoid them. Get the metal & get felt wrap if using regularly.

Cheap plastic...
The pivot tabs broke within a half an hour...useless. The whole thing needs to be metal or at least stronger plastic.

Plastic Pipe stand review
Original shipment both pipe stands I ordered had manufacturing defects. A call to Pipes and Cigars and the faulty stands were quickly replaced with new ones. They are great for around home but do not travel well.

Not like they used to be
I have a couple similar plastic stands that I bought years ago which work well. Those stands are designed so that, when open, one piece rests directly on the other, distributing weight across the entire stand. They were essentially unbreakable. These new ones are slightly different. Instead of one piece resting directly on the other, there are now two small little plastic tabs on the side of one piece, on which the other piece now rests. These tabs are very flimsy and easy to break off. They're so weak that simply unfolding the stand or setting your pipe down too forcefully can break the tabs off.

They use to be good, but....
I have bought several of these over time and have always been happy with them. Now they must be coming from a different company and their junk. Glad they are cheap because I have broken three of these in a row just trying carefully to unfold them straight out of the wrapper.

Economical functionality
This is a simple review. The saying you get what you pay for applies here. I bought 5 with my order, and 2 broke just opening them; little plastic “pins” act as the stops. It is hard to open them on the first use (that’s how 5 became 3). After a few week another has broken due to those little tabs giving way. This brings me to only 2 left from 5. It’s not the fault of P&C, but of design alone. I strongly recommend the metal stands for daily use or, a single pipe rest of a bit higher quality. The only positive to the plastic stands are the price point. As with all things YMMV.

Does the trick
It serves its purpose and does what it's intended for.

the price is right
Great value for the price. They are relatively easy to break, but they are inexpensive to make up for it. The folding design works well when space is at a premium, and can be stashed back into the shop/storage when I'm done.

Great when on a budget
Definitely plastic. Build quality is average but it gets the job done. A metal stand might be more worth it if you have the money to spend. For the budget minded person this is still a great stand.

Pipe stand
Simple and cheap solution to a pipe stand. Nothing fancy but does the job.

Plastic folding pipe stand
Sturdy and light weight. Great for travel and when on the go. Works well with straight or bent pipes of more common shapes, I have not tried, but may not work well with larger freehand pipes or unique bowl shapes

Two times
Both times I have ordered from P & C the products I ordered were fresh, undamaged and arrived promptly. Better than my local tobacco shop. I'll be ordering again soon.

Does what it has to do, takes up zero space
Great as a pocket accessory for when you might have to put down your pipe to sign autographs... ;)

Functions perfectly
It serves its purpose perfectly at a low cost. It’s not pretty, but I didn’t buy it for its aesthetics.

It's Plastic
Does the job it is designed to do. Personally - if I had to choose - I prefer the chrome pipe stand in this same configuration - but you get what you pay for. For me - this stand would be for use on camping trips, etc. if there is a chance of loss or damage.

Very Nice!
Love this pipe stand. Works wonderfully.

Cheap and effective.
This doesn't cost much and does exactly what it is made to do. Pick up a couple, if you drop one it's probably toast! Or just buy the chrome version for added to durability.

It does what it's supposed to do
It holds most of my pipes. It doesn't hold bigger pipes well. My MM freehand fits, but it's not very stable so I don't trust it. But for small to average sized pipes it works great.
