Punch Diablo by AJ Fernandez is their boldest cigar to date, and they certainly picked the right guy to make it. AJ Fernandez uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra Oscuro wrapper that has been aged for four years, and it's a dark and toothy beauty. Underneath is a Connecticut Broadleaf binder that's been curing for six years, and the long-filler are ligeros that hail from Honduras and Nicaragua after four years of aging. These diablos have really good flavor and I like the intensity. However, I ordered 5 stumps and have smoked 3 so far and two of those have had weird burns. They don't want to stay lit and when they burn it's lopsided. I accept responsibility because I could have used a notch cutter or ran a needle into the tobacco to open it up but I was frustrated with the two duds.

Burn issues

These taste good and are very intense flavored. My beef is I've smoked 3 of 5 so far and I've had burn issues with two. Maybe I should use a V notch cutter but I've had two now that required 4-5 relights and funny burns.
