One for the ages...
If you're a cigar lover and you haven't been asleep for the last ten years, you're probably well aware of AJ Fernandez' amazing talent for making outstanding cigars. From San Lotano to Man O' War to New World, he's displayed a flair for dramatic flavors, and with his newest creation, he's stepped up his game again.
Relic is one of a kind. The long-fillers are specially selected Nicaraguan leaf, including a good amount of rich, black ligeros. They're held together by a robust Ecuadorian Habano binder. So far, it sounds tempting, but not all that different. Here's where Relic stands apart. The wrapper used for this unique cigar is a shade-grown Habano capa grown in Esteli by AJ and extensively fermented. The wrapper took ten years to develop to the point where AJ felt that it was ready for use, and it's only used for this cigar.
This medium-full gem boasts an overall earthy character with notes of coffee, cocoa, wood and leather with a core of sweet spices. Those of us who had the opportunity to try some before their release fell in love with Relic at first puff, and we're sure you will, too.
