Aging works miracles for cigars. There's nothing like the magic that occurs when tobacco is slowly fermented and stored for extra time after rolling. That was Rocky Patel's idea behind Rocky Patel A.L.R..
These medium-bodied beauties contain extra-matured tobaccos which were then rolled in 2016. After a long rest, all the flavors are thoroughly married, and any hard edges have been smoothed off. Rocky Patel A.L.R. is clad in a chocolate brown Ecuadorian Habano capa which surrounds the long-aged binder and long-fillers. There are rich notes of cocoa, earth, espresso, and black pepper, with some smooth sweetness on the finish. There's nary a hint of harshness anywhere, but there's a lot of complexity as the flavor morphs constantly all the way down.
