This pipe is worth the price it's at. The drill hole is rough on mine and not very straight. You can feel the roughness with your finger inside the bowl. The stem has a large button which I'm not crazy about. The finish or lack of is really nice in my opinion. It's light, and clenches easy enough. For its price category I think it's a very good pipe. There are definitely better pipes at this point. If you own a lot of the Grabows, Watsons, and some others at this price point already that I believe to be better, and you want something new to smoke, its worth buying. I wish I could give it 3 1/2 stars but I couldn't so I did 4.

I prefer many things in their natural state and as a woodworker this is especially true for things made of wood. Nicely stained, finished and polished briar pipes are attractive, but having a pipe in its natural unfinished wood state that over time takes on the character and color tones from the tobacco I smoke in it is quite a treat! It makes the pipe more personal and intimate.
The craftsmanship of the B3 left nothing to be desired. The rustication, birds-eye grain, great draw, perfectly positioned draft hole make it a gem to smoke! I will be adding a couple more of these to my arsenal. Highly recommended!!

I love this pipe! It is well made, and smokes great. I have 4 unfinished pipes, 3 I bought before I discovered P&C, and after time they darken to a beautiful walnut color. The bowl on this pipe smokes cool because the rough surface increases the surface area of the outside so the bowl is kept cooler. This Roma pipe smokes as well as my more expensive pipes. Of course it came very fast like all P&C orders!

PROS: light 1.3 oz (37 grams), unfinished briar (aids in cooler smoke, my opinion), 6mm filter,cheap enough wouldn't cry (maybe disappointed) if dropped overboard, should be fine while working outdoors (no concern about nicks or dings. CONS: would prefer 9mm filter (better filtering) to 6mm filter, will stain from dirt easier if that's a concern, would prefer heavier rustification or sandblast of grain (my opinion). Smoked once so far - - - it's okay (+-) nothing to write home about. Time will tell if it's a workhorse or just a last resort.

An excellent “beater” pipe. Quality wise if you’re looking at something in the Dr. Grabow price range, the Galleria is a superior pipe. The B3/1003 model I’ve had for a year now. The massively thick chamber wall makes up for the youth of the briar, that is, even with Virginias this fella stays cools. Stem fits well, nice and snug without being too tight.
You CAN filter it, a standard filter will fit in the shank and tenon. Just snip 1/4”/7mm off the 6mm paper filter otherwise it will get burned and you’ll be smoking paper. If there ever was a PERFECT “beater briar” THIS is it- Moderate Fanatic.

I own several bare pipes as there is now a variety to choose from, savinelli, stanwell, and morgan bones. Of all of them this Roma had the nicest finish, no big pits, no fills just a smooth blast. Took a chance and I dont regret it at all. Went with the volcano as I didnt have that shape in my arsenal. Smokes good, and the quality is right up there if not better than the other bare pipes i listed. I have a new found respect for the Roma Galleria line of pipes. its nice that other pipe companys are putting out less expensive bare pipes out there and giving pipers that dont want to board the hype train a choice.

These are great pipes, not to big but good bowl size and they smoke well. They are also very lightweight so easy on the jaw. I have several other Roma pipes of different finishes, they all smoke great and are a wonderful value. Get one of these pipes and I think you'll love it.

I really love my Roma Galleria X160 Bent Billiard. It smokes light and dry even with aromatics. I find the color and texture highly appealing. And it's very lightweight. The black acrylic stem is very comfortable too. All these elements come together to make it a new favorite in my rotation.
