Samuel Gawith Chocolate Flake

Samuel Gawith Chocolate Flake is not exactly what it would appear. Fine Virginias and Burleys are pressed with a hint of Latakia and pressed with a subtle chocolate note, designed to enhance the flavor and to add a subdued note to the aroma. It's a smooth, creamy, soft flake that will appeal to a wide range of enthusiasts. One of most subtle of the Lakeland flakes, Chocolate Flake is a wonderful after-dinner treat.

One of the best tins/tobaccos I’ve ever tried
Matter of fact I think that this might be some of the best pipe tobacco that I’ve ever tried, I guess that’s the reason it’s always backordered.

Great tobacco
I have to admit that at first when I bought it it would be a nice chocolatey and rich tobacco but when I opened it it had a really bizarre smell that was slightly chocolatey and I just put it in my pipe and lit it and it is extremely delicious and has a unique specific taste I’ve never got from another tobacco.

Grrat Blend
If you like a little chocolate flavor, then this is the blend for you! Nice mild chocolate flavor that does not over power the great taste of the virginia tobacco.

ok blend.
It's an OK blend . I was hoping for a great experience because it's got latakia and I figured it would be nice mixed with an aromatic ,but was kinda dissapointed don't really get much of anything. But I that was me smoking it without giving it a little drying time,so I will dry it out a little then let you know how it taste then. But I'll tell you what pipes and cigars is the only place I buy my tobaccos from they are great.

Samuel Gawith Chocolate Flake is Satisfying
I like the mild to medium strength and, the aroma of dark chocolate. I enjoy the satisfying flavor, it's mellow and, it pleases me to keep it going. Thanks to the way it keeps burning, I just want to settle down and, keep having a beautiful experience.

Not my favorite
This blend is not my favorite. It was very moist in the tin, and it didn't smell very appealing. Dried it out for a day or so and gave it a smoke. It was tough to burn, and wouldn't stay lit. The smoke tasted very earthy and neither tasted or smelled very chocolatey. Perhaps it needs to age for a bit. Not sure I'll reorder.
Customer Testimonials
This is a fantastic flake. The primary component, as far as taste, is the lovely earthy, nutty, musty burley. Secondly is the topping which is not chocolate but a more bitter cocoa. While smoking this blend the Virginia's, which are sweet, poke its head out occasionally to make the cocoa turn chocolate for moments until the blend returns to again to its original, burley cocoa, state. This is a slightly aromatic that burley lovers will enjoy greatly.

This tobacco gives off an aromatic room note, but smokes and tastes like a bit like an English blend. The Mrs. loves it. It's one of my new favorites.
