Samuel Gawith's Commonwealth Mixture begins with sweet, bright Virginias that have been steamed to darken the color of the leaf and mature the flavor. An equal amount of dark Cyprian Latakia is added to satisfy the real Latakiaphile. This is one of the most traditional of all the "English" blends and is a worldwide favorite. Commonwealth Mixture delivers a smoky flavor that always satisfies.
This one was recommended to me by a trusted friend, and although I cut half the first tin with an equal amount of Latakia, as I smoked more of the original mix, I realized that I might have been just a bit hasty with the Lat. This one is just about perfect as it is! As Mary Poppins might say "…practically perfect in every way!" A very nice English which never gets old!

Well known blend from Sammy G. A top quality pipe weed that marries 2 tobaccos in fantastic fashion. Do not be afraid in the least of the 50% latakia content as latakia is mostly bark and not bite. Plus you always get a fantastic smoke display from it :)

I was a cigarette smoker for over 50 years I preferred menthol and this tobacco taste like menthol and the strenght of this tobacco strong.All the qualities I enjoy.

I like my tobaccos to punch me in the face. This doesn't do that. It melds together very well, but it tastes like something is missing. It only has two ingredients for crying out loud, so that's probably just on me.

This is a great balance between the matured Virginias and the Cyprian Latakia.
