Samuel Gawith's Navy Flake is a different take on the traditional Navy flake. The majority of the blend consists of Samuel Gawith's superior Virginias, to which a bit of Latakia is added. The classic note of rum is added before pressing. Samuel Gawith Navy Flake is an especially rich and satisfying blend for those who like a bit of Latakia.
The Samuel Gawith interpretation of Navy Flake is a true classic, and my second favourite flake. My favourite, Stonehaven, is onobtainable. NAVY Flake consists of the Great SG Virginia's found in Full Virginia Flake and just enough Latakia to boost its appeal. If you like hearty tobacco, this is a great choice.
