Scotty's Bulk Blends - Stonewall

After smoking for about 8 years, this is where I have settled for my all-day-type tobacco. No matter what I'm doing, when I grab a blend without too much thought, I grab Stonewall. I know I will not be disappointed.

Great smoke with a bit of pleasing bite to the finish. Same blend I’ve smoked since Scott had his old place in the Colonie Mall 20+ years ago.

The tobacco smokes cool and has a great aroma. It is a solid favorite of mine and one tobacco I plan on keeping in my tobacco rotation.

A very good blend. My only complaint is that it could use just a bit more Latakia. This is very reminiscent of Wilke's High Hat.

A very, very flavorful pipe tobacco with a mild latakia twist that complements but does not overpower. A perfect tobacco compliment to a morning mug of coffee, an afternoon stein of dark beer, an early evening tumbler of whisky or simply with room air. It fills any room with a wonderful, far-off aroma that even non-smokers seem to fine mystifying...

A pleasant smoke. Burns a little quickly. OK room note.

I’m still grieving a bit and trying to overcome the loss of McClennan tobaccos that I smoked for over 40 years, like their 2040 Cyprian blend so I decided to try Stonewall and am enjoying it fairly well so far. It’s slow burning, easy on the tongue and pleasant to use all day, when I get the chance.

This is a perfectly balanced tobacco; ideal for Aromatics-lovers and/or English-blend enthusiasts everywhere. From the moment you light up your pipe, your senses will awaken with pure delight. "Scotty's Stonewall" is not too strong because the Latakia it contains satisfies without overpowering the mixture, as it rewards your tongue and even the air around you, with consistently-smooth deliciousness. A bit of advice though: Make sure you order enough because you'll regret waiting for more to arrive! I truly recommend and endorse this 5-star pipe tobacco. Get some today and enjoy!

My favorite has been McCllend Ave 925, when it was not available I tried Scotty's Stonewall. It is an awesome blend, as good as Mc 925, Of course it is backordered, boo hiss!

This is a good “cross over” type of blend. Tastes great, the slightly sweet topping is pleasant but still let’s the tobacco shine through. I definitely recommend it unless you are a straight English ONLY smoker.

But I never received my order, the United States Parcel Service delivered it to the wrong address. The postal worker told me that they would try to get my package for me, but I don't expect I will ever get it. Maybe I will order again sometime, in the meantime I will try to find the products I ordered at a local pipe and cigar store, I know of a few within 30 miles from me. I in no way hold Pipes and Cigars.com responsible for this, it is the U.S.P.S. that dropped the ball.

My early try into english blends so not really able to give a good review. I liked it no negatives.

I agree with the other reviews, if you like your latakia in moderation and balanced with some aromatic, this is a great smoke.

I truly like Scotty's blends as a general rule, but this one is a STEP above. It came at the perfect dryness to make for an easy light without any relights. The Latakia is perfectly rationed to make it present without being overpowering. A thoroughly enjoyable after dinner treat. Get ya some!

I'm tempted to call this 'terrible' so you all won't buy it out of stock again and I can load up, but that's not very honest or pipely. The truth is, this is a delicious, easy smoking blend to buy lots of and I'd recommend it to any new smoker over the various aromatics they might otherwise try. I would say it gives me a note of sweet cream, and what I describe as "a forest in autumn, a day after rain". The Latakia is hard but I can detect it, will probably get more after a few bowls now that I can have some again!
