Seattle Pipe Club Yakima Valley

I’ve tried many different tobaccos over the years. This one is my favorite.

Got it as part of a “Taste of excellence” sampler. Two things first. It’s a little damp and a little heavy on the Virginia, two things that do not go together well. Will not buy again, but will come back to it in a few years and see what’s what.

I don’t claim to be an expert on tobacco blends. I have tried more than a few score and this is one that I have stocked up on. I would call it a mild English, it’s not strong (nic) and it is light on the pallat. If you are looking for a lat-bomb, this isn’t it. I liked the Frog... this is not the same but it does fill the void.

Excellent light smoke. Enjoyable all day long. Nice room aroma as well. Think this tobacco is a keeper.

Personally, this blend doesn't exactly invoke images or memories of the Yakima Valley in Washington State, but it does make me think well of a certain blender in Seattle. Yakima Valley is another quality blend from Seattle Pipe Club, and while it may not be my favourite of theirs, it’s certainly one I’m always going to keep in stock. This is a mild English, neither the Virginia or Latakia are too forward. Well balanced early morning or late night smoke. 4.75 out 5!!!

Nice mellow smoke. Burns well and has a terrific aroma. I'd buy it again.

If you haven't ever tried a Latakia blend and you want to then you couldn't do much better than this. It is very smooth and the Latakia is not over-powering. The flavor is delightful. It's a great blend for those wanting to experiment with non-aromatics.

Usually a Frog smoker and lean toward the Frog Morton Cellar. Thought i'd give Seattle Pipe Club Yakama Valley a try. A bit dissapointed. Not as tasteful as FM and, at least to me, has a slight soapy taste. I will finish my tin but do not think I will buy another.
