I've purchased two of these. The tamper fell off of the first one, so I ordered another. The pins securing the attachments worked loose and the scraper fell out. I managed to reassemble the tool, and, using a center punch, expanded the pins on either side in order to secure the tools. Unfortunately, upon the next use, the second tamper fell off. Despite the nice design, I'd avoid this item.

This tool is the bare bones tamper. It's nothing fancy, but for like 5 bucks, it's definitely worth it. if you're looking for a cheap, functional pocket tamper, this tool is perfect, and if you happen to lose it, it's no big deal.

For the price this 3 in 1 is a great tool and I do love it, the design is perfect for me and what I like to use it for with my pipes, its slim but built good and gets the job done. I would recommend this tool to anyone that is concerned about detailing there pipe more so then a practical fatter tool plus its just a nice basic good looking tool. I gave it a 4 star based on its simplicity not its construction because that's sound.

One day after receiving the new tool the oval tamper fell off. After repeated attempts to keep the oval attached back on the tool. I had to resort Gorilla glue. The scraping blade is much too small for task it is supposedly designed for. The only thing on the tool that worked from day one was the spike. I hardily recommend that you do not buy this tool.

This tool is good quality made however to me it is just a bit on the big side for a simple pipe tool, this was my first pipe tool and thought a solid study pipe tool would make a difference but in reality a simple pipe tool will do the exact same and fit in your pocket a little better, or a shirt pocket and it wouldn't flop around in your shirt.

I wanted a low cost pipe tool in case I lost it, again. I was suprised at how sturdy it is and it does not look cheap. I plan on ordering a few more to have on hand for when I lose this one.
I have bought similar ones that had wood slab handles. The tamper was pinned on those tools and one of the pins always fell out making it useless. This tool is one piece without pins and i do not have to worry about it coming apart.

A decent tool that serves the purpose. I have noticed that the axle pin wants to come out of the tool's base on a regular basis. It is simple to push back in place but older pipe tools that I have owned did not have this nuisance. Otherwise, it is a useful item.

You get what you pay for as the saying goes. The tamper head on this tool came off! Not sure how it's made but I think the head is just pressed on. I had to use super glue to put it back on and so far it's holding. Spend a little more and get something better.
