Great pipe smokes cool and a great value. Savanelli 9mm filters work great and the church warden stem provides a clean smooth dry smoke. Finish is nice on the bowl and stem fits tight.

The 409 sandblast is a handsome pipe. The larger bore black tube for the filter creates a contrast for the white swirled stem that gives it depth. I have the 404 smooth as well and for this pipe (the 409), I'll keep the white stem on it. The pipe smokes fine and I like the angular mass of the bowl.

Love the finish, and really love the short churchwarden stem. That's the one I use, but having a choice is always nice. A lot of pipe for the price.
