Stanwell extra fine will not blow your mind out so if you are looking for the holy grail one and only tobacco, keep going. Its virginia burly ready rubbed sweet but couldnt detect topping to be honest. Room note is of natural tobacco. Reminds me of dutch cavendish by stockeby, irish dew by petersons. Slow burning as it is broken flakes. Try it for what it is and you may like it, i had better but there are much worse out there. Al janabi

Stanwell is Fine!!

Have ordered and enjoyed two tins. Love the ribbon cut. At first I didn't think I was going to like it. It smelled strong when I first opened the tin. Because of that I let the tin sit for a few weeks. The tin note was nowhere near what is was at first. Smelled a whole lot better. Tried a bowl and it was rather enjoyable. I do recommend it, but just let it sit for a little while after opening it.

This is a very good blend of tobacco and tastes great! It is not however one of my favorites. It seems to not burn as well as others and is somewhat harder to pack a bowl in that it is a rougher cut than others I have tried. Don't consider this a bad review, just not the best product that I have tried.

Thumbs down. Unfortunately. One of the only tobaccos that I couldn't get through the first bowl. Dumped it 1/2 through and will give away. I found it harsh with a very unusual, unpleasant flavor. I don't even want to try it again. Kir & Apple hit me the same way. Maybe something they use just doesn't agree w/ my chemistry. However... Melange was pleasant, and one that I would re-buy (and I don't usually like fruit flavored ones). Start with that one if you want a decent danish aromatic. Or better yet, spend the extra few bucks for Davidoff Danish Mixture.
