The Stanwell Pipe of the Year 2022 brings back a shape that many people have expressed a desire to see again - the Model 36 that was popular during the eighties. It's a short tomato, coming in at 5.2" in length, and has an oval shank with a tapered stem. As is common with previous pipes of the year, it has a sterling silver band. The length makes this an excellent clencher, but even though it's not a long pipe, the chamber still has a good capacity. These gorgeous pipes come in six outstanding finishes - Flame Grain, Light Brown Polished, Brown Polished, Black Polished, Red Sandblast. and Black Brushed. Quantities are limited, so you'll want to get one right away before they're all gone!
Gave this to my son for Christmas. It goes well with his collection. This is a beautiful pipe, incredible grain on it one side has burl. Polished to a super bright shine the silver band brings a nice look, along with good durability. We sat down and had a bowl together. He said it smoked very smooth felt great to his mouth and hand. He is extremely happy with this pipe and I am so pleased I got it for him. It was a great deal on Pipes & Cigars!

I got two of the Stanwell 2022 pipes of the year, and they are superb smokers. The deal to get a free ashtray with them is also a great value. These pipes are beautiful, drilled well, and smoke coolly. I love them!

When I ordered this pipe I expected a nice well made pipe as is the norm for Stanwell but what I got exceeded my expectations. Nicer than expected ring grain with a medium depth blast, a beautiful red color that does not run off like some brands do. Light, beautifully shaped and comfortable. Well bored and engineered and passes a pipe cleaner with no issues. I expected a simple silver band but it’s more than that, it’s a silver cap which is much stronger and is perfect for the slim oval stem. I am more than satisfied with it as it smokes like a dream.

I I already gave a quick review of the black polished Stanwell POTY 2022. I have this pipe in red sand blast, black brushed and light brown polished finishes. They are all finely finished and a pleasure to smoke.
