Stanwell Trio Sandblast Pipes

Outstanding pipe!

I purchased this pipe because it was the only Trio Sandblast listed with a 9mm filter. However, much to my displeasure, it did not come with a filter! But, it smokes cool and it is comfortable in the hand and looks great. The trio series is superb and I would not hesitate to buy another.

The stem doesn’t line up straight with the shank of the pipe, but other than that it’s a nice pipe.

This is a well made pipe I just had no idea how small it was. It looks like a 2/3 scale as compared to a standard billiard. Works well for trying a new blend or if you only have a short time relax in the evening, i just feel kinda silly holding it.

I succumbed to a special offer, and got two Trios, a Sandblast and a smooth. The former has been broken in and is resting before it comes into rotation - the smooth is being broken in now. The Sandblast is about a Dunhill Group 4 in size, while the smooth is a bit smaller - Group 3, I'd say. Both very nice, nice smoking pipes.

Good pipe for taking a break

I have a fairly large number of pipes, and I smoke them all. Of all the factory-made pipes I have, my Stanwells show the most consistent quality of fit, finish and drilling. The briar selected for the sandblasted models usually displays grain far more interesting than similarly priced pipes and they smoke beautifully. This blasted Trio 107 is no exception. A fairly small billiard, it is perfect to put in your pocket for easy carry and a quick smoke. And it looks terrific.

For the most part it smokes cool and dry. Had a bit of gurgle but it just needs smoked a few more times I think. The pipe itself is beautiful and definitely going into my rotation

Deep bowel, attractive lines. Still breaking in(1/2-3/4 level), but has been an easy break-in period. Smokes great, looks great. I would recommend.

Great pipe for the price, I love Stanwell pipes anyway. I find it smokes ribbon cut better than flake, it tends to stay lit better.The stem has a good fit, not too tight and not loose. Bore holes are lined up perfectly making this a good smoking pipe.

Stanwells are reliable pipes modestly priced and quality made! The trio model is no exeption. They are compact and a bit smaller than many people like but they fit my criteria I bought it on sale and thats an appropriate price i cant see my self paying more for it howevet. Al janabi
