Apple Flavor is a popular blend from Sutliff. This gentle-smoking mixture of Burley and toasted black Cavendish is finished with the subtle sweetness of apple. The caramelized toasted Cavendish adds a hint of brown sugar flavor, making this blend a bit more like a baked apple. If you want an exceptionally mellow aromatic that lets the taste of the leaf to come through, try Sutliff Apple Flavor.
A wonderful smooth smoke. The apple flavor is subtle, and more like a baked apple, rather than the tart fruity taste of the old Middleton's Apple (a tongue-scorcher....). Nice and flavorful and the room note was also of baked apples. There was a nice nuttiness as well, possibly from burley? I will be keeping some of this around. On a scale of 1 to 5, this gets a big 5.
Very, very suprised! Taste 10+. Room note 10+. Gentle and mild.
I buy lots of Sutliff aromatics. No apple flavor. It has a flavor like freight train. I called it night train, but it was kind of like steamroller or freight train in flavor and room note. Refer to Sutliff Banana & see review. Try Russ' blend for more flavor.
Sweet apple. If you smoke it in a Big Ben Pipo like I did, you get an apple pie and baked apple taste.
Great flavor good price
Not a bad smoke, but could not taste or smell a bit of apple. This is the second aromatic I have tried which did not taste or smell like the name.
