Black Cordial is one of Sutliff's most popular pipe tobaccos. It takes four different grades of steam blackened tobaccos along with a light measure of bright Virginia to create the mixture, which serves as a base for a sweet and tangy cordial liqueur flavor. See for yourself why so many people enjoy Sutliff Black Cordial.
This is the same tobacco I have been buying from my local retailer except at half the price! My wife hates pipe smoking but even admitted that it smelled really good. Get you some of this, it's inexpensive, smells great, and smokes good.
Something is different! I have smoked z50 for many years as my go to tobacco and something has changed, burns unevenly and has a bunch of tongue bite - the old version never bit the tongue. I don't smoke this anymore.
I wish u would go back to the old Black cordial this tobacco has a bite and smokes nothing like the Atlantis sorry for the spelling but I cant smoke the Sutliff please let me know if you may think about restocking it or I guess u will have to call me a former customer
Mild, flavorful smoke with a nice room note. Burns well and complete. It will probably become one of my stronghold tobacco(s). Nice with a little something to drink after supper or with a cup of java in the morning.
First discovered Black Cordial (z50) in Oxford, England back in the winter of 2002. It was being sold by Fred Tranter under the shop name "Extravaganza". Upon my return to U.S. I learned Altadis was marketing z50 under the "Century" label over seas. Now Sutliff, which was once owned by Consolidated, is now under Mac Baren ownership. Hopefully the consistency will remain the same since z50 is one of the finest tobaccos in its class and has been my goto ol faithfull aromatic ever since 2002. If you like balanced aromatics that are rich, sweet and bite-less you must try z50. Compare the reviews on this website with others in this bulk Sutliff class. Z50 is a must have!
