Sutliff Coconut Almond

Sutliff Coconut Almond is a wonderful example of attention to detail. Both coconut and almond are rather subtle flavors. If they were applied to tobaccos with an assertive flavor or heavy body, the essence of the mellow top-dressings would be lost. By choosing mellow Virginias and Burleys as the base, Sutliff has created the ideal marriage of leaf and flavoring. Enjoy a smooth and mellow aromatic with Sutliff Coconut Almond.

Tastes like cake
This legit tastes like cake to me. I thought I was having dessert without it being too sweet. So, cake without icing? I don't know quite how to put it. It's really good after dinner.

One of my new favorites
I thought i'd try this for a change of pace , now it's one of my favorites. I still enjoy opening the bag and smelling the aroma from this tobacco. It has a great flavor and leaves a nice aroma in the room around you as you smoke it. Smokes great in either a cob or a briar pipe and will leave just a bit of grey ash when your bowl is finished. It's now it one of my regular top choices for an every day smoke.

Probably won't scrape this coconut again
I'm currently on an adventure to sample every Sutliff aromatic on the P&C website. I decided to do this after having delicious back-to-back home runs with Peach Cobbler, Vanilla Custard, Maple Walnut, and Apple (to a lesser extent). These selections are so darn good they make my mouth water thinking about my next smoke. In my view, Coconut Almond didn't match up though, as I found even the pouch note thin and the flavor once it was burning in the chimney was even flimsier. I noted that the tobacco was drier than the other Sutliff aromatics just mentioned, overly dry in fact, and perhaps that knocked a leg off of the stool. I'm going to sojourn on and leave this one behind for now.

Looking for Almond Joy?
This is a pleasant tasting version from Sutliff although it is weak in carry through. That lends to smoking fast to increase it tends to burn hot. I never did get the almond taste but coconut is there. Slightly sweet but pleasant...nice change of pace. I probably would not order again.

Rich flavor; great aroma
Sutliff's Coconut Almond smokes smoothly, burns evenly, and has an equisite aroma.

My least favorite of the Sutliff line
Take this with a grain of salt as I have a fairly sensitive tounge but this has a bite to it that makes it difficult for me to smoke. I really can't taste any flavor of coconut or almond either. To use it up I'll be mixing it with Sutliff chocolate moose which I adore. I will not be buying this again.

Just What I Hoped For
I really enjoy coconut aromas and when I saw this Sutliff Coconut Almond I was hoping the Almond wouldn't be overpowering. I purchased this and it was what I hoped for. Nice light aroma of coconut. Mild with little bite. A nice blend of coconut and almond!

Sutliff Coconut Almond
Initially tasted the coconut, but the taste trails off after a few puffs. The tobacco is mild with no bite. Not bad but not great.

If you like the smell of toasted coconut you will love this tabacco. I will be ordering more so I can enjoy it poolside this summer with a refreshing pina colada

Good stuff
Nice blend, reminds me of Moontrance cigars. The pipe tobacco by moontrance doesnt smell nearly as good as the cigars.

A great Sutliff aromatic!
Coconut almond is definitely a tobacco that hits all the bases for me. It is a fresh tasting aromatic that burns well, and does not give me tongue bite. Being coconut, always a hit with my palate, I don't find it overpowering, and the almond undertones plays well with it. It is one of my basic blends that I smoke regularly.

Too Hot, Too Hot baby
I never tried aromatics before and thought I'd give this a shot. Maybe it was the preponderance of the Virginia but this burned so hot I couldn't taste the coconut or almond. I favor English and Latakia blends, so maybe this was just not going to work out.
