Sutliff Danish Cavendish R-18

Sutliff Danish Cavendish R-18 is a a superb alternative to people who are a little tired of heavy aromatics. It's made of red and bright Virginias, mellow Burleys, and soft black Cavendish. That's fairly typical of a lot of aromatics, but in this case, Sutliff Danish Cavendish R-18 uses a sweetened, but unflavored black Cavendish and a subtle top note of cocoa and marshmallow. The flavor is warm and gentle and the room note is mellow and pleasant.

Nothing Special Here
It's a sweet smoke typical of many black and blonde cavendish blends. It has a good aroma, like baking chocolate cake, but the blast of molasses at the light up. It's a good blend for a pipe novice but much to light and candy-like for a seasoned smoker. It's also a very moist tobacco, but that's a trend these days and hard to avoid in bulk tobaccos. Sutliff's a fine company and one should try all their blends, even this one, this one just wasn't a thriller, but I'll smoke it anyway or give the majority of what I purchased away as a Christmas gift. The sweetness seems to be in season.

Good beginner's blend....
I'd call this one a good beginners blend,I get flavors of chocolate, butterscotch, vanilla, light toasty...no bite, slow burning,no nic hit..a good smoke to have for variety...really good with morning coffee..definitely an all day blend...I think I'll try adding a little Burley..like C.H. to kick up the nuttiness a bit..overall..worth a try

A nice blend.
I bought 1 oz. of this to try. It sat in the humidor for 2 months forgotten. I tried it this morning and found it to be a very pleasant blend. Certainly worth trying.

Good smoke!
Smells like unsweetened chocolate in the bag. Burns well and has a pleasant taste. Nice change of pace from my English blends.

Nice.
I've been trying some new tobaccos and I enjoyed this one. Just trying to see what else I might like. It was mild with a pleasant taste, which I like.
