Sutliff Lavish English

Sutliff Lavish English is a Latakia-based blend that's not overly dosed with the black, smoky leaf, but has robust body and has a long, cool burn
Lavish English is made of zesty Virginia, rich Cyprian Latakia, toasted black Cavendish and mellow white Burley. It is smooth and deep while not being a "heavy" blend. The balance is quite remarkable and is the kind of blend that you can enjoy all day long.

Aged to perfection
When I bought this 2 years ago, I really enjoyed it. I cellared a quart jar and opened it today. What a marvelous blend it has become. So soft and full of flavor. Highly recommend

An Excellent Tobacco For Almost Anyone That Enjoys a Pipe
If you enjoy, and especially if you miss, a “Shortcut to Mushrooms” style blend that is well done, Sutliff Lavish English will undoubtedly fill a spot for you in your selection of tobaccos. It’s also suggestive of Peter Stokkebyes English Luxury and Boswell english blends somewhere between Countryside and Northwoods. This is an almost medium english blend that is slightly latakia forward and while representative of other tobaccos present. There is cavendish that tastes to me of a light marshmallow casing and a natural nutty burley for body while including other tobaccos that moderate and balance the smokey latakia such as a sweet virginia, tart oriental/turkish, and a hint of perique in the background. If you prefer your english blends heavy on the latakia, you won’t care for this although it likely won’t offend unless you think Pirate Kake is “well balanced” (That blend is 75% latakia making it decidedly and objectively unbalanced.) However, if you enjoy a marginally sweet, deceptively complex pipe blend that reveals each of its constituent tobaccos as you puff and retains a delicate smokey flavor throughout, this should make you smile. Should you delight in crossover style blends, I don’t see how you can pass this blend up as it is far better than Aromatic English or Lane HGL to my palette. The room note is a pleasant surprise and the tin note is of tobacco, a hint of vanilla sweetness and musty mushrooms still encrusted with a bit of rich, dark earth. It burns well once lit requiring one re-light perhaps, and arrives in bulk a bit damp. Disclaimer: This has become my favorite tobacco.
