Sutliff Lord Nelson

Sutliff Lord Nelson is a robust American-English blend made with sweet flue-cured tobaccos, small-leaf Orientals, smoky Cyprian Latakia, and mellow air-cured tobaccos. It's rich enough for an after-dinner bowl, but it's also cool and well-balanced enough that Lord Nelson can be enjoyed any time of day.

May God bless the old Admiral. And thank you Sutliff for this wonderful English blend. I will continue to order this great tobacco.

Lord Nelson
I find this tobacco to one of my go to tobacco when I am in the mood for a traditional English but on the mild side. I often alternate it with one of my aromatics.

This is a tasty, good Sutliff Latakia. It is growing on me. I'd give it a 4-1/4 to a 4-1/2 star rating.

Not sure
Still new to the pipe. This stuff smelled like a barn but tasted good. Its hard to explain. The bag did stink though and every thing it came in contact with smelt like it. Would i order again. Yes because it tasted good. Just stink like a barn sorry but its true.

ok but others not a fan.
I don't mind it but have not gotten good reviews from the non-smokers around me regarding the aroma. unlike the mature Virginia's and vanilla's I have tried recently. oh, well. I will still finish what I have though.

Great stuff to try
This is a great mild to medium english tobacco good amount of latakia welll balanced with the Virginias. Orientals and Burley. A very good english and all day smoke. Kind of reminds me of Margate by Esoterica tobacco.

A must try for English lovers.
Another outstanding blend from Sutliff! I just received my first shipment today and my only regret is that I didn't order more of this stuff. I completely disagree with the person that said it has a grassy hay like taste. I found it to be pleasantly smooth and complex in flavor. It does tend to numb my lips just a bit after smoking it for awhile but not as much as another favorite of mine Sutliff Fox and Hound but I love the taste and aroma so much I can look over this. Thinking about doing what one person said and ordering like a pound and putting it away to age, if it's this good right off the bat I can only imagine how it would taste after 6 months or so. It will be this Fox and Hound and Balkan 2 in my English rotation. And yes they are probably best as an after dinner smoke or night cap as I use them and aromatics during the day. But your mileage may vary.

American English Blend
I liked this blend . It had all of the components I look for in a tobacco, but it had a little too much latakia for my taste
Customer Testimonials
Not a bad blend, but I've come to expect more from English blends. Somewhat grassy/hay flavors are prominent. Lacks complexity I enjoy in other English blends. There is nothing horrible about this tobacco, however my personal tastes prefer more character beyond hay and grass.

This is a superb english blend made by Sutliff, the king of aromatics and I have to say that this blend is absolutely delicious, I ordered some of this when it was released in the early fall with a few other fall themed aromatic blends and right off the bat I ordered an 8oz sample, because I really like to give blends the opportunity to shine, which turned out to be an excellent decision. As soon as I received it, into the mason jar it went and from there I left it alone, I gave it a few months to age and then revisited this blend, it is an absolute stunner for the low price point, the slight sweet nuttiness of the burley, mixed with the smokey but exceptionally creamy Latakia are really the front runners in this blend, I like a blend that is complex enough to disect down it's components when you smoke it and this hits the mark as far as that's concerned. I also gave a pouch full of this as a gift to one of my best friends who recently started smoking a pipe and he enjoyed it almost as much as I do. Smoking this blend is a delight and very satisfying as it burns very cool and stays lit extremely well, I would not hesitate to buy a few more lb's of this blend
