Great outdoors
From the Ribbon cut tobacco to the way it is packages it is a very pleasing smoke. The top note of vanilla is nice and the Burley and cavandish give you the smoker a sweet and nutty flavor. if you like Burley's then I would give this one a try.

Smooth and Tasty
Interesting tin note. Smooth with no bite for me. Nice flavor. Will buy again.

Pleasant light aromatic
Sutliff's Great Outdoors is a light aromatic. A sort of a cousin to Field & Stream. Not a big fan of aromatics but this one provides a nice change of pace from time to time. Highly recommend letting it dry out a little for best results.

Good smoke at a great price
Good smoke. First bowl was a little wet. Second bowl I dried before smoking and it was a much more satisfying smoke. Not as mellow as I would like, but it will stay in the rotation.

Flavorful and Mellow
To me and my taste buds it's perfect. Sweet, mellow and just hits the spot any time of day. Nice tin note and flavor and the best thing is no complaints about the aroma. Would advise anyone to buy it.

great blend
This blend had no tounge bite and is easy smoking. I particularly like the room note.

Its a pretty good blend, and better than the original, but there was a tiny bit of bite.

Perfect Anytime
This is my second tin of Great Outdoors. The stuff is phenomenal. It's flavors perfectly compliment a walk in the woods, or sitting on a porch watching the sunset.

Did Nothing for Me
Didn't live up to my expectations. Couldn't find anything memorable about it.

noting like Field & Stream
It doesn't smell, taste, or smoke like my old favorite.

Just simple and honest.
Have you ever had something you liked and couldn't explain why? Great Outdoors is like that, at least in my mind. Maybe it reminds me of something my grandfather would have smoked. Maybe it lies in its overall simplicity. It's an honest pipe tobacco without all the top dressing for flavor. It easy on the tongue and leave a nice room note behind. Just simple and honest

A good replacement
I find this blend to be very close to Sutlffs "Mans Best Friend". I will be purchasing more.

Constant complainer
I always find something to gripe about if I am not 100% happy or content with a tobacco, and I may have found 1 with Sutliff's Great Outdoors. The smoke...sorry, room note is nice and pleasant to those near me, I find the "room note," which we men aptly call, smell, very appealing and not overbearing. I do find that if I don't pay attention to the way I pack this tobacco that it can require attention to remain lit. I relate this to a finer cut tobacco, but a proper packing does the trick for me. I find it to be an enjoyable smoke, one I always return to when I go off searching for that one proverbial better new smoke... A point to ponder: The Great Outdoors is listed in the non-aromatics, yet smells and is described as an aromatic? Regardless, it is the one tobacco my friend and I return to all the time and smoke morning till night. Thursday nights are our "boys night out" in the shack watching, Stealthdiggers. We may try different tobaccos, but our second and subsequent bowls are always, "The Great Outdoors." I have not found a better smoke. Oh, yeah, my gripe...my only gripe is the pipe bowl is extremely hot when I smoke "the Great Outdoors." That's it, my only gripe, other than that this is my #1 smoke, it is pleasant, not overbearing, not a biting tobacco and enjoyable all day long. Disclaimer: I find something wrong about everything...
Customer Testimonials
I wasn't sure what to expect with this one but found it to be profoundly simple, which is it's greatest strength. Excellent room note. Slight licorice taste and some nuttiness, maybe a bit of honey too. Nice even burn. I will definitely be adding more of this to the cellar.
