Sutliff Private Stock Taste of Summer begins as a classic aromatic base blend of bright Virginia, mellow White Burley and soft, steamed black Cavendish to which the rich essence of fresh peaches is added for one of the most pleasant aromas in pipe tobacco. Take the edge off the day with this peach pipe tobacco, a Taste of Summer.
First the peach note was very overpowering, but I mixed it with little vanilla and it was fine.
Oh boy this stuff is good! I'm not a huge aro fan, but the creamy peach flavor you get in this tobacco is right on point with the name...Taste of Summer! From the tin note to the room note and every puff in between, I'm sold and I will be buying more!
Loved it Loved it and Loved it so so so much, new favorite. tastes like peaches and caramel
Great aromatic blend. The peach flavor is not exactly subtle, but also not overpowering. Virginias keep this one bright with lots of "top end". Get lots of compliments with this one. Only drawback is the bitey-ness, as it seems to burn a bit hot. Also, as with a lot of heavy aromatics, you get a little burnt sugar taste that likes to linger.
Received this one last Friday in the pipe tobacco club monthly care package. I have to say that maybe I was a bit standoffish about trying this peachy concoction-------but I am glad I did. I should have known that it would be a good blend being it was Sutliff! Opened the can took a big ole whiff and the aroma was like fresh peaches. The moisture content was excellent, it lit well it smoked well and just to be honest with you I really enjoyed the smoke. No gunk in the pipe--no funky after taste, just a good aromatic smoke. Excellent blend, what else could you expect from Sutliff
