Tatuaje Nuevitas was one of Pete Johnson's earliest cigars, and the only one not made by the Garcia family. It was discontinued in 2007 and has been sorely missed. Well, there's good news today...actually double good news. Not only has Nuevitas returned, but it's now being made with the expertise of the legendary Don Pepin Garcia.
Tatuaje Nuevitas is a medium to full-bodied delight, sporting a Nicaraguan-grown Corojo '99 wrapper that surrounds a Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan long-fillers from around the country. On first light, there's a peppery burst that settles down quickly into a rich and complex blend of earth, natural tobacco, cream, and a dark fruit, sweet finish.
