So, I ordered the Black tankard Yoroi... and for some reason, despite confirming that the PSK number matched the black color, I ended up receiving the gold version. Not the end of the world, all that is different is the color palate got swapped on the metal bits. That said, if you are more picky about the colors being accurate I would write or call in advance to confirm your choice.
Now, this is my third pipe. By far, this has the deepest bowl for tobacco out of any I have owned... as such I find I have to be a little careful with how much I load in when I don't have all day to sit and smoke. That being said, it packs easily, the tobacco burns evenly, and I rarely have had to relight it despite the deep well.
The stem attaches firmly to the metal housing for it, but it also comes out with no fuss when I need to clean it. When attached it does not spin or sag, and the balance is just right when you are holding it.
The only issue beyond coloration that I have is the metal housing for the stem itself. It is well crafted and beautiful, but it does get noticeably warm while smoking from the heat of the smoke itself transferring into it. While it hasn't gotten to the point where I would worry about burning myself, it is hot enough to make sudden contact with it startling. That being said, I think the advantages of durability the metal housing provides outweigh this overall. (I have also noticed that the smoke is a bit cooler than I would expect for the stem length... perhaps this improvised radiator contributes to that.)
Overall, I am very satisfied with my pipe and would recommend it to anyone in the market for one.
