Two Friends Deacon's Downfall is a rich and robust blend of Latakia, toasted black Cavendish, stoved Virginias with a touch of Orientals and a hint of Perique - a cool and flavorful smoke. It's easy to see Greg Pease' influence in this blend as it has hallmark of his passion for blends with beautiful balance, which Deacon's Downfall certainly has.
I think this blend would be better with some age, but my tin was pretty fresh and I still really like it. Burns slow and cool, no bite, nic is medium, maybe a hair past, and has good body probably from the addition of black cavendish. Smoky, leather, salty, bitter, spicy, sweet and woody flavors. If you like other GL Pease english blends I am sure you will like this one too.

Deacon's Downfall is one of my favorite "go to" blends that I always want on hand. It is smooth and richly satisfying.
