Viking Vidar Large Churchwarden Pipes

Large bowl. Thick walls make it cooler to hold. Might become my favorite.

Very nice chruchwarden pipe. Its great having a larg bowl to smoke while reading a good book, and this one fits the bill.

Great pipe! Sits well in the hand, smokes cool, and takes clenching pretty well. It makes me feel like a wizard and hey, isn’t that what we’re going for? Highly recommend, might get another one.

Had other churchwardens with pear wood and lighter materials that maybe last a year. This is more solid, but still not too heavy and smokes well. A nice large bowl for a long smoke. Very glad I got it to satisfy my inner wizard!

This was a nice buy. Smooth smoker with good flow. Attractive church warden lines with a bowl that feels good in the hand.

This is a good pipe. It smokes cool, doesn’t gargle and is surprisingly light for a full size church warden. It is well made and feels good in hand. It dissipates heat well. With that said the lacquer finishes finish made me not want to use this pipe because of the taste from the finish. I ended up using bowl sweetener to clean the finish off the top of the pipe which took a small amount of the stain as well. It is usable now and as far as functionality it’s a good pipe. I just don’t feel that for the price I should have had to clean off the finish to make it to where I could use it.

I love the big bowl on this pipe. It's not a clencher, but none of my churchwardens are. They are for a cool long smoke in front of tv or on the back step. Only negative is the lacquer finish,

This is my first Viking pipe and my first Churchwarden pipe. What a pleasure all around. The fit & finish are a pride in craftsmanship. The design is functional and adds to your choice of tobacco, bringing out more flavors to your smoke. This is by far my favorite pipe in my collection now. I've also noticed this pipe helps keep the condensation down as well. I've put some (what I consider wet) tobacco in it and not a single bubble to be heard. I don't see how anyone could be dissatisfied with this pipe. Maybe if you like to bite your pipes while smoking, but honestly it clenches fairly well given its size. But that's obviously not what its designed for. Its length is meant to keep the smoke away from your face, cool the smoke down, and put you in a more relaxed position while holding the pipe in your hand. In the hand it doesn't get hot easily I've noticed as well. For me, this is a great evening pipe at home. Something to end the day with. With that, I hope this review helps you.
