Villiger is a well-known name in Europe, but for many years, they've been recognized for their machine-made cigars. But in recent years, they've also moved into hand-rolled cigars, including 2017's #10 Cigar of the Year - La Flor de Ynclan. They've also shown that they can make a high-value, modestly-priced cigar, and Villiger 125th Habano is a perfect example.
These tasty, medium-bodied morsels come clad in a milk chocolate-colored 2009-vintage Ecuadorian Habano wrapper concealing a Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers. The profile includes earthy and woody notes, mellow baking spices and a bit of black pepper. we've tried them and we believe that these budget-friendly sticks stand up to lots of cigars that cost twice as much, or more.
