I like this lighter a lot. It’s a great shape and it lights on the first strike every time. Doesn’t hold a lot of fuel but as long as you keep an eye on the Gauge you will be fine

Great little portable pipe lighter, and one I use outdoors quite a bit. Deducting one star because the tank is so darn small. Otherwise, a great little thing to have on hand!

There's a reason why the "Xikar for life" thumbnail is in the product image. You are going to be sending it back every couple of months for repair/replacement. At least they stand behind their warranty. I think it would be cheaper for them in the long run to produce a better quality lighter in the first place.

Great while it worked. The large adjustment wheel is nice to adjust the flame and the length means your not scorching your fingertips while lighting a pipe. However, I have as others have mentioned the fuel tank could be larger as it doesn't last me more than 3 pipes, including relights, before its empty. I have had 2 that have broken and started to leak fuel from around the fill valve.

This is a nice solid feeling flint lighter. Perfect for your shirt pocket, strikes up right away, flame can reach down to the last 1/3 of the bowl. Has a fuel window, easy operation. This lighter was not meant to be a fuel storage lighter, but it does the job & it looks cool to.

I ordered this for a couple of reasons. First, it was advertised as being convenient for pocket carry and I found it to be more than convenient it is perfect for pocket carry. Second, I have other Xikar lighters and products they have all been of excellent quality and this is no exception. I am more than satisfied and would recommend this product to anyone who uses a lighter. More than worth the purchase price.

Wonderfully engineered lighter but not enough fuel capacity

Love the style and size of this pipe lighter and have to say that the construction is top-notch. It does have a very limited fuel capacity though, and I find that I have to re-fill it every two or three days. If it held more fuel, it would definitely earn a 5 star rating from me.

I really like this lighter -- compact and handy. Initially had some difficulties with getting it to light consistently, but I recently replaced the flint with a regular ole' Zippo flint and now it works GREAT! Sparks are much larger now than before, and I have no issues with it not lighting. I used to fiddle with the gas flow, but a simple change of the flint was the ticket. Holds a good amount of lighter fluid, I can go several days without running dry. Fits nicely in my shirt pocket, briefcase, or pipe roll.

Amazing lighter that is worth far more than they sell it for! It is by far my favorite lighter and it is a good conversation starter. The little window lets you know your fuel level (which is pretty cool), the flints are easy to change, the flame level is completely adjustable, and it looks really cool. Cannot recommend this lighter highly enough.

I must be doing something wrong with this lighter. I have already had to send one back and the repaired one they sent still won't light. I followed every instruction to the letter and still no luck.
I will give Xikar their due, they have really good customer service but this lighter just doesn't work well for me.

I've had this lighter for more than a year and it has held up well. I like the window that lets you see how much fluid you have left in the lighter. My only complaint is that it does not hold very much fuel, so you are refilling it every few days.

Reminiscent of the Colibri Clip lighter from years back. Convenient design, and quality workmanship. One flaw though: the clip portion of the lighter rattles when you shake the lighter. Thought it was a flaw at first and returned the first one. Second one was exactly the same. It's almost like they didn't tighten down something, but apparently this is by design.

Got the burlwood design and I love it. It's a great little lighter. Very attractive with a distinct click when the gas is turned on and again when it's off. Easy to strike with easily adjustable flame from next to nothing all the way to about a 2-2 1/2 inches.
