There's a myth that Connecticut Shade cigars can't be rich and deeply flavorful. Here to disprove that theory is Zino Platinum Crown. Davidoff is known for superlative blends, and to honor their founder, Zino Davidoff, this series consists of cigars that are remarkably smooth, robust and sophisticated.
Zino Platinum Crown sports a slightly darker Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, due inpart to the fact that Ecuadorian Connecticut gets a little more sunshine than the American version. Underneath that tawny capa is a well-aged Connecticut binder and a bold blend of Nicaraguan and Peruvian Cuban-seed long-fillers. This produces a medium to full-bodied character that features notes of leather, wood, toast, herbs, cocoa, spices, pepper and a hint of vanilla on the creamy finish. Zino Platinum Crown cigars don't come cheap, but the best rarely does.
