Stanwell pipes were first produced in 1942 by Poul Nielsen after he realized that the Danish pipe market needed pipes that were well made and affordable. The first Stanwell pipes were made of beech wood because briar was scarce at that time due to the war. Once briar became available he realized that briar was a better material for pipes and production of the beech wood pipes were shut down. Stanwell’s reputation for affordable, quality pipes is still firmly in place. Choose from a wide assortment of shapes, sizes and finishes.
