This pipe tobacco tobacco has one of the most pleasant smell as it burns, kind of fruity and sweet and most people enjoy the smell. My dad smoked it for years and it brings back positive memories everytime I light it up.

This has been my go to tobacco for 50 years. So happy when P&Cs started importing it again. Can relax at the end of the day with a good smoke.

A wonderful flavorful English blend, mid and tasty

I quite like Amphora Full Aroma on its own. It's quite. a smooth smoke and not overly aromatic. I mix three parts Amphora Full Aroma with two parts Sutliff Molto Dolce. The two blends complement each other and I find it to be a perfect smoke. I have several Savinelli Hercules and the mixture opens beautifully in those pipes.

Nice relaxing smoke with a pleasant, subtle aroma. Puff slowly or it can bite.

Love it. Smoked first bowl of Amphora in 1972, as good now as it was then!

Smooth but with nice tobacco flavor.

Long-time favorite, previously unavailable (alas!) but apparently no longer. I'm very pleased

Has a higher nicotine content than most of the aromatics I've been buying here, that's for certain, which I like immensely. However, I had put "Chocolate" into the search and THIS was one of the tobaccos that had come back as a return and it disappoints in that regard. That having been said, I like it. I'll like as not simply mix some actual chocolate aromatic with it, experimenting as I go, to see if I can get it up to taste. WILL buy again.

I recently went back to pipe smoking and since this tobacco was my choice in my college days, I decided to smoke it again. I was not disappointed. It is still the flavor I remember and loved. Thanks for a great product.

Now this is a good sit on the couch and watch TV smoke! At first it was a little strange to me because I mainly smoke classic American blend, Prince Albert, Lane Limited Ready Rubbed, Sir Walter Raleigh Etc. After I had a few bowls I made very good friends with this tobacco. I get a very rich tobacco taste and a nice relaxing sedation from the nicotine rich Kentucky tobacco. I get like a stewed fruit subtle flavor and Burley cocoa aroma. Very nice! I can't smoke this all day because it is a slow burning tobacco. Perfect for relaxing.

The tobacco I exclusively smoked all through college and for years after.
Not 100% the same (have bought in Europe and Middle East over the past 15 years), but still very good. Old friend ...

It is one of the pouch tobaccos that I keep in my stash. I've been smoking it foe 35 years. It is, by my taste, a slightly sweet ,medium rich blend. It always was, still is.

My brand for over 25 years. For me, the best.

I used to smoke Skandinavik full flavor until it's demise. When I switched to this blend I couldn't believe it stood up to it. This one will always be in my rotation. My grandpa used to buy the cans of this stuff and I always loved the room note. Great unique flavor throughout the bowl. I love the cut, it burns beautifully. Another great tobacco I could smoke all day.

I smoke Amphora full aroma red pipe tobacco since 1965. This is what I really like. I did tried countless brands but Amphora is the one. Just the price about 0 .50 over priced by you.

Works great and ican get both my favorite tobaccos

My brother-in-law and I smoked Amphora blends for years. also Flying Dutchman. Then we couldn't find it in our usual stores. We don't like the"gooey" products so are glad P&C had some good choices and now some Amphora.

That part of its mission it fulfills. And it smells good in the can. I cannot taste the vanilla and my wife says it smells like a cigar.

My go-to tabak for sitting outdoors in the evening, watching the sunset with my dog. A Dutch cavendish with a subtle blend of flavors that are hard to define (is it fruity? citrus? raspberry?) this is very nice tobacco. The underlying burley and VA take the lead parts, hints of Kentucky and orientals come through just a little, melding expertly with the flavoring. Burns nicely, very cool smoking with absolutely no bite at all. I used to smoke this when it was still made by a Dutch company back in college in the '70s. It is still a superb smoke.

My old friend a truly all day smoke that can not be beat. Beautiful aroma that people enjoy.

Oh my socks and shoes! Oh my stars and little sputniks! This tobacco is delightful! It has a lovely flavor, a top note that even my wife - who pretty much banishes me outside and then texts me rather than even stick her head out when I am smoking - said was "not horrible." I find the room note lovely, the flavor rich and smooth, and I am profoundly relaxed and at peace after a pipe's-worth. If they would give everyone at the G-7 Summit a pouch of this stuff I dare say there would be peace on earth.

This is so great to have Amphora back ! I always loved the green and wish that was once again available but the
red is awesome as well. Stays lit, doesn't bite and lasts a long time I find. Nothing but good things to say.

Nice mellow smoke. Not very aromatic but a great tasting tobacco. I like it

I found this to be bland as far as aromatics are concerned. Maybe it's me, but I really couldn't detect any aroma. It is pleasant having the dark fired in there.

This is a good product. Not quite what I was looking for. Good price

I'very been smoking Amphora red and green for over 50 years - except for the past 15 years when it was not available in the States. I would happily stock up on it when the job took me to Canada, France, or the Middle East. Wonderful that this smooth smoking aromatic blend is once again available. Thanks

The best tobacco ever. Try it with a touch of MacBaren's Navy Flake.

I Remembered Amphora from smokes long past. I tried it on a P&G special.
AFA fell short on the full part. It's packs well and stays lit. I'm a Latakia and White Knight fan so this will end up a ' tweener smoke for me. Still on the quest.

Not quite like the "old" Amphora but still a good, aromatic smoke.....

I smoked Amphora Full Aroma red from the early 1970's until it's disappearance in the US. That was a tragic loss. Seeing it again in my local tobacco shop was like a reunion with my long lost friend. From my first bowl I knew that the current version was on target. This is a smooth, effortless tobacco, a polished cavendish with a gentle, wonderful classic flavor. It was America's favorite years ago, and should be again. Highly recommended.

I decided at an older age to try smoking a pipe again. It was forty years ago when I stopped. I didn't have the time or money to adventure into the pricy world of high end pipes. I've always heard meerschaum pipes were the way to go so I have three of the pipes from this store as all the accessories to have nice selection at my personal moods. I recommend this store to everyone. The customer assistance is exemplary.

I expected a more of a top note, but over all a nice tobacco, burns well, and I like it very much.

Back in college I smoked this pretty much everyday: you could get it in any drugstore. Just had a few bowls of a fresh pack and have to say its a good smoke. Dark brown in the pack, ribbons and chunks of almost broken flakes, it feels moist but smokes and burns clean and even. Typical good Dutch Cavendish with nice not-quite-sweet flavor mixing with a decent VA smoke. Smooth without bite. Great room note. If you tired of chocovanilla tabacco try this. For the record it's not exactly as I remember it from the 70s but darned close.

I smoked Amphora 'red' from the late 60's till D/E stopped importing their product in the late 80's. Bounced around with various aromatics for several years and finally settled on Black & Gold. As the saying goes; "you can't go back' proved to be true.... I ordered a couple of pouches of Amphora 'red' after your announcement that it was once again available here in the Colonies.... it just didn't appeal to me after a 20 year hiatus.

Really enjoy this pipe tobacco, smokes smoothly and leaves a nice aftertaste--wonderful on a starry night!

It's OK, but not as I remembered it.
I ended up mixing it into a 12 oz tin of Captain Black Royal, as the Amphora didn't do it for me. Not bad, but not as good as I had hoped.

Back around 1970, when I started smoking a pipe, it was Amphora ‘red’ and ‘green’ that were my go to tobaccos. So, when I saw that Amphora was being re-introduced, I was delighted. Full Aroma is a Dutch style Cavendish blend, mild to medium in body and taste, with good tobacco flavor that is not buried by the subtle but lovely cocoa/fruit casing. The blend is mellow and sweet with a bit of spice. Is it exactly like the Amphora of the old days? No re-introduced blend made by a new company ever is. But is it in the ball-park? Yes. This is a biteless, mellow cavendish with natural tobacco flavor enhanced with a noticeable but subtle cocoa/dark fruit topping. I’m very glad to have access to it again.

The burley and Kentucky really play well off each other in this tobacco. It took a few tries for me to fully appreciate all of the nuances, but after trying this tobacco in an unfiltered, wide-bowled pipe, it has quickly become one of my favorites. To me, this tobacco perfectly combines the richness and flavor of the natural tobacco while also providing a decent room note. Don't be fooled by its packaging, this is as good as any top shelf tins!

I remember as a small child seeing a pouch of Amphora being passed around by some of the men at our family gatherings. Not knowing much of anything back then, I am but vaguely aware that I really enjoyed the aroma, both in the pouch and in the room.
I ordered a couple of pouches as soon as I received the promotional email, if only for nostalgia's sake. Over the years, I've pretty much found what I like and rarely venture out of my comfort zone. Well, I'm really glad that I did! It's a fine, mellow smoke, no doubt about that, but where it really shines is the room note. My wife, who can barely tolerate RLP-6 simply fell in love with this one. I'm now off the porch and back in my easy chair where I belong. The reaction is the same wherever I go. Male or female, young or old, all I get is compliments. This ones a real crowd pleaser and I can't recommend it enough!

So glad it's back, always a good tobacco. Unfortunately with about a pipe full left in the pouch one of my dogs made off with it. I guess he missed it too.

I found this tobacco to be rich, intense, with no acerb aftertaste. Pleasant in mouth, even the odor left in the room is somewhat relaxing. The flavor is like a good wine, aged, mature, rounded. Excellent smoke. Burns well and slow.

I remember Amphora from years ago and it was a full bodied, tantalizing aromatic smoke. However, this Amphora I received didn't seem to have the full body of yesterday. Maybe my taste has changed; I don't know, but I was disappointed and won't reorder Amphora.

This is an amazing tobacco! It has a robust flavor without any harshness. It burns well without burning too hot. The Burley and Kentucky star in the show in this one. It doesn't taste like an Aromatic but the room note smells like an Aromatic so it can be smoked around others without complaints. The Virginia adds just a subtle natural sweetness. This is the best 'pouch' tobacco I've ever smoked so I'll be ordering more.

I'll be honest. The new Amphora is exactly like I remember the old. I had bought what was probably the last pouch of the old Full Aroma back when I first took up the pipe in the early 2000's. I loved it, even bone dry. The new Amphora is just how I remember the old. I've read some reviews saying it's not at all like the old stuff. I have to disagree, it's exactly the same. My olfactoral memory is pretty sharp actually. For years I hoped beyond all hope and believed that Amphora would come back and it has. Perhaps the Law of Attraction really does work. Lets keep praying for Flying Dutchman to return now!

Nice all day tobacco. Not an Aromatic in the American sense, it's a mild flavorful creamy sweetness that's not overly sweet. I like this as my "walking the dogs" baccy. Burns well and has a nice taste. Not too shabby.
I used to smoke this when I was in the UK one and off, it's a handy go to tobacco.
