Smoker's Pride Whiskey Sale

The flavor is decent, a bit overpowering on the casing. There is, for me, too much bite to re-order this version of Smoker's Pride. The Vanilla Smokers Pride is much smoother with sufficient flavor.

Great buy

After several pounds of this, I can honestly state ( for my palate), its one of the better economy bulk tobaccos. The flavor works for me. Sometimes I add some black Cavendish or dark fired burley, or both to tweak it some. On its own, its still a surprisingly good smoke for the price.

We roll it into cigarettes .. Like the taste

For the price, you can't beat anything from Smoker'S Pride. I bought the entire catalog and use them for various blends. The Smoker's pride brand leaves the room smelling pleasantly smokey. The tastes are pleasant by themselves or blended together.

This was a wonderful surprise! I bought it because of the great value for the price and hoped I would like it. It lived up to my standards. Excellent mild whiskey flavor. I use Smokers Pride Whiskey and Smokers Pride Cherry to make my own blend. The mixture makes a nice smoking blend with a pleasant aroma and very little bite. I've gotten quite a few complements on the aroma.

57 years ago I picked up a pipe on the advice of a Lt Noel MD, USN. He suggested Flying Dutchman and Borkum Riff Whiskey. Fast forward, Flying Dutchman faded away and BR Whiskey lost what it had years ago. Hence I like med, mild aromatic, a slight flavor (not Sweet). Bottom line, I was out of my blend from P&C so I purchased smokers Pride whiskey OTC. That's my all day smoke now, special occasions and evening relaxation I still like full flavor, Latakia blends.

This is my least favorite Smoker's Pride. It's my opinion but the other 5 flavors are better.

Mild and flavorful.

fairly smooth, decent aroma, but difficult to keep lit

It’s a great tasting tobacco but it just does not work in the Powermatic rolling machine. So I gave it to a friend that smokes it in a pipe like is was made to do.

Have used this tobacco for several years, have tried others but nothing better for price. Gave it four stars as not perfect just better than others.

The aroma is great. No bite whatsoever. I usually get the virginia cherry blend but I think this is even smoother.

First time I tried this brand...liked it enough I will buy again. A smooth smoke with no bite.

Great blend of tobaccos that gives pleasant aroma and flavor in one tobacco. No harshness or burn or bite on the tongue. It lights easy and stays lit. You may find an occasional stem I'm the mix but that is rare. Some of my friends who only smoke high end tobaccos have tried this and agree that it is a quality tobacco. This stuff rivals tobaccos that are three times the price. It has been my go-to tobacco for quite a while now.

It's unbeatable for price vs quality, I've smoked it for years, mostly rolled in papers as a cigarette. Don't laugh, it's much tastier than normal cigarette tobacco.

I usually smoke the Smoker’s Pride Black Cavendish, but wanted to try this. The flavor is good, but it’s kind of a hot smoke.

I'm a massive fan of all the Smoker's Pride tobacco. So far this one and Black Cavendish are the best of the bunch. It is a great tasting cool smoking blend that stays lit and never bites. It is slightly sweet with a little bit of nuttiness and a great liquor aftertaste. I cannot recommend Smoker's Pride blends enough. This is a great daily smoke. I smoke this or Black Cavendish every day. Outstanding.

I've been buying Smoker's Pride Whiskey flavored pipe tobacco for my dad. It's not available to him locally, so 'Pipes & Cigars' has helped us out. Service & delivery have been great. My dad is 81 years old now, I'm 57, and as far back as I can remember this has been his daily smoke. He loves it!

A little coarser, but comparable to Lane premium pouched tobaccos. A very pleasant aroma, comparable to baking brownies. Not overtly sweetened or flavored. A solid everyday pouch filler.

The best of the Smokers Pride line (IMHO)... arrives at the perfect moisture level, bystanders love the aroma! Sort of gives off a light spiced vanilla aroma. Quite nice and boy what a good price!

A fine tasting tobacco with little pretension. An all-day smoke for me. Tastes like it was cased in Old Grand-dad. Burns hot but evenly and leaves little mottle in the bowl. Inexpensive and lacking in frills, this is a perfect tobacco for no-muss smokers.

I've bought a lot of Smoker's Pride - all flavors - but Whiskey and Rum are my personal favorites. I like the fact that the flavor doesn't overpower the tobacco, it's cool smoking, and there's an acceptable amount of nicotine. I am extremely pleased that the tobacco is not sticky and it doesn't gum up my pipes. I do smoke it on its own and find it a great choice when I'm working in the garage or just feel like sitting out back with the dog. But I do like to blend this about one to one with whatever Daughters and Ryan blend I have open. I let it sit for a few days and I smoke this on the weekends when I have time to just keep filling my pipe and enjoy the world around me.

This is my usual. It is exactly what I like. I'm not personally a fan of novelty in my tobacco. For years I smoked Borkum Riff, but I tried this some decades ago and liked it better. [OK so sometimes I do try something new.]

Compairs well with Captain Black at half the price. “Public friendly” aroma.Smells like brownies cooking.

My husbands favorite, he has smoked this for 30 years, and we always come back.People always compliment the aroma when he is smoking it. And of course the pipes he always get are his favorite too, always the Borkum Riff Walnut - Briar Smooth. So with his Smoker's Pride Whiskey tobacco, he is a happy man.

I'm a heavy pipe-smoker. I have my favorite blends. But sometimes I don't want a religious experience; I just want some tobacco in a pipe, especially if the pipe is getting dirty and will need cleaning soon. My usual choices for this are Smoker's Pride Whiskey and Vanilla Cavendish. Smoking average tobacco part of the time makes my favorites seem more special when I do smoke them. It also saves money, of course.

This is a basic smoke all day tobacco with little or no bite and a very pleasant aroma and flavor. Great for those time when you working alone and just want the taste of a good smoke when you take a break to contemplate what you are doing or when you want an excuse to chew on your pipe. Relights easily when you get busy and forget to puff on your pipe or have to put it down for a while. I usually smoke a more flavorful blend for that last smoke of the day but this is my favorite all day every day smoke.

Not a bad budget tobacco. Pouch and room note are quite good. The tobacco lit well and burns to ash, perhaps a little quicker than I would like. The taste is all whiskey, with no evidence of tobacco coming through. There is nothing unique about this tobacco, but it is better than some more expensive blends I have tried

I am not going to go against the flow of the other reviewers, because I think the tobacco smokes fine and I just think when it comes to toby, I am not a Whiskey man lol ... though I do like bourbon. It lacks a sweetness for me that I like in rum tobies, so that is the only downside for me. I think you should try it if you're a whiskey bud who likes it straight up, no rocks or fruit in the glass :) I will probably give it "case" it with a little vanilla, pack it and come back to it in several weeks so as not to waste it!

My husband had this brand purchased for him a long time ago. He is an Occasional pipe smoker, an enjoyed the flavor of this tobacco. I bought this for him as a Christmas gift and he is enjoying it very much.

The prices are good and my tobacco was delivered than I expected.

The problem with ordering from Pipes and Cigars is that you find a great deal and order, knowing that you missed a great deal a couple of days ago and that there will be another on along in another day or so. Do you order now or wait a day or so. Knowing that either way you will find a great deal with great service. If they ever combine some of the deals I might blow my budget big time.
