Blending - Red Virginia Ribbon

This is Great blending tobacco. I blend mine with matured red, stoved black and Virginia cavendish and enough perique to spice it up and smooth it out. I plan to always have this tobacco jarred up somewhere ready for blending, it’s a fantastic base component.

As a female older smoker I have always enjoyed a pipe smoke as well as rolling my own .This blend is so smooth and does well for double duty. I really enjoy the light moistness it has to compensate my dry Windsail tobacco.Flavor is very mild which I prefer. I am by choice trying to smoke less.This Red Virginia is an easy smooth inhale no back throat burn.Hope this helps other ladies who are looking for a tobacco that does double duty.One thing I do is break up the ribbon gently so the machine handles it with no jamming. I don’t normally write reviews but I have been with this company many years and peoples reviews have and do help to try out what fits there tastes. This was one of the blending components i bought recently. I sampled all of them individually before i blended them. Mainly what i noticed was the sweetness and a pleasant flavor that i couldnt place. Was properly moist and burned really well. When i started smoking my blend i noticed a buttery toast flavor in the mix that i was sure was the virginia component from my reading. This is good stuff. Really pleasant.

good on its own, maybe a bit mild - but great for blending. Arrived a bit dry but rehydrates with no problem.

I used one part of this to three parts Burley and one part Perique. Just a little bit of this toasty Virginia is enough to help the nutty and chocolaty Burley shine and then the Perique spiced the blend up nicely.

I purchased this to blend with, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it straight when I first tried it out. Toasty, a little sour, a little sweet. Could be a morning smoke on its own.
