I have to rate this Vanilla Cavendish 5 Stars just for the looks alone! Beautiful colours of black, yellowish tan and light brown. In addition, it is cut very fine in small pieces making it easy to load and keep lit. For me, it not as aromatically as what I usually smoke so stronger, but that is fine. I chain-smoke a pipe probably 12 hours a day and there is very little bite. Oh yeah, did I mention the low price? I will be re-ordering regularly. Thank you P&C!

This is truly the best blend out of the Smoker’s Pride series. I buy two bags at a time and it lasts me about a month. The moisture content is great even on the second bag after two weeks. Great flavor and aroma with this blend and not as harsh as the rum version. Great buy!

I really like this flavor. It mixes well with Strawberry Delight and now I am going to mix it with some the constituent parts of the Bronx Salute.
As a stand alone, I like the pleasant aroma. Compared to the Best of the Rest English I have been smoking lately, I know I smell a lot better and the people around me probably appreciate it more too.
It's a nice everyday smoke that plays well with other flavors. I dig it.

I personally prefer the Smoker's Pride it is not as moist but seems to be a much better cut. The Super Value is cut more like cigaret tobacco and smokes hot at least in my opinion. It is moist though and unlike the Smokers Pride which I add apple slice to to keep moist stays that way.

I have been using this brand amost 20 yrs now. I was looking for a repacement for cpt back,which became more and more expensive and unattainable in my area. Seems I always end up with a a good bit of baccy in my "jambalaya" jar.
The bowl or half a bowl left over of whatever blend I took to work with me, gets dumped outta my pouch into
this jar when I get home, and am emptying my pockets, etc.
It truly is a jumbled mess.

I smoke a lot of black Cavendish tobacco’s and almost all of them use vanilla to a greater or less or degree. The vanilla in this one seems to be used in a greater degree, obviously. However, the vanilla seems more in the aroma then in the taste of the smoke. But since the Scandinavian tobacco group has got a hold of this brand, it has been greatly improved since I bought it in the drugstore some 30 years ago.

I can't give 4 1/2 stars or I would. Good smoking pipe tobacco. Easy to pack, burns evenly. Only observation, not as strong of vanilla flavor as other tobacco.

I am still new to pipe smoking but I have had the pleasure of buying in bulk and getting many different blends. I have to say the flavors of this tobacco are strong and I believe that is from the still wet content before shipping. If you let it dry before you light it up it is a pleasant experience but if you forget the Tongue bite will let you know you forgot. Overall a great cheap all day smoke.

The only reason I did not give a 5-star rating is because of the Smokers Pride. Super Value is good quality tobacco. I would easily give Super Value a 5-star rating on its own. However, Smoker's Pride, to me, taste like the week-old, dried-up leftovers that were swept up from the floor. I can confidently say this because I have both brands and flavors sitting here beside me at my smoking table.

I've been buying my tobacco at a brick and mortar for years. Due to having recently moved, I was driving just south of an hour to buy my vanilla cavendish. Ridiculous! I have no idea why I never even considered checking online. Well, not only did I find it, but it's $12 less per bag here on Pipes and Cigars! Are you kidding? Yes please!

This stuff is great, for the price it's amazing. Very close to rlp-6 or cbw, however, I get a more of a distinct vanilla flavor and aroma from this blend. Definitely a 'value' tobacco, bit of an irregular cut...but, if smoked at a reasonable pace, delivers a tasty smoke from start to finish. A solid, tasty vanilla aromatic, imo --you gotta keep some around if you like the original Captain Black.
