Makes me hungry
This is 1 of my favorite tobaccos. An early morning sitting on the patio enjoying nature kind of flavor. Just need the pancakes to go with it.

My Favorite Maple Blend
This is an awesome blend! Great flavor of pure Maple, excellent pouch and room aroma, no bite, big puffs of billowy white smoke, etc. It is extremely flavorful and an enjoyable smoke.

We really are fans of the maple flavor. Great taste, wonderful room note. It's one of our favorites!

Good daily aromatic
Sweeter than Autumn evening, a tad more maple also, yet missing a middle "note" that Autumn evening has. They're different enough to merit experimentation with both. For more maple, honestly I recommend maple/walnut and rum/maple varieties offered for sale here. Still, this is a nice daily smokable aromatic. Not ridiculously sweet and sickening. Wife said the smoke was very pleasant, not "fake maple air freshener" that she was afraid of. This reminds me a bit of a tinned maple tobacco from the 80s Im thinking. Red leaf on the can, is all I remember.

Maple Aroma
I bought this for my husband because he loves most anything Maple flavored. This is no exception. He said he really enjoyed the hint of maple and the aroma made me think he was cooking maple bacon at 10 pm! I will be trying more samples of maple flavoring on my next order.

Great Smoke
C&D Black Gold Maple is a new favorite! Smells great. It is not a long smoke but good none the less.

Not Bad
I am a dedicated Lane 1 Q smoker. Every now and again I try to find a backup variety that both myself and my wife will enjoy. I love the flavor and how it smokes, she likes the way it smells enough that I get to smoke in the house with no complaints. So I got a couple ounces of the Black &Gold to try after reading a review that said "if you like 1 Q you will like this. It is different tasting, smokes pretty much the same and although Mrs. Nose immediately wants to know what I am smoking, "this isn't your usual" I tell her and ask if she likes it. She says it's different but that its"Not Bad" So I enjoy the change, similar enough to not be to much of a shock or disappointment from my usual. I would have given it 4 stars just cause I still prefer 1Q But hey, if the wife doesn't lets me smoke it in the house, well then 5 stars all the way. It's different but similar... Not Bad.

C&D Black Gold Maple
This blend has quickly become one of my favorites. The room note is nice, which is no surprise, but the taste is great. The maple flavor is good and it is always evident, but what I like is how the Virginias stay just in front. The last half of the bowl is full of different flavors coming in and out. I have tried adding a bit of Perique, and that really makes it interesting. I now have a smallish Stanwell Dublin dedicated to this blend. Give it a try.

C&D Black and Gold Maple-- Aromatic
I am 62 yrs. old and smoked a pipe since I was 17. I have smoked a lot of pipe tobacco I have ordered from C&D a quite a bit over the years. There are a lot of good pipe tobaccos out there. But I always seem to return to C&D. Their Black & Gold Maple has hit my aromatic taste buds for now! It is mild and the maple adds a certain little flavor to it that tastes good. I have another aromatic that I have smoked for a few years now. The B&G Maple is my other aromatic. I also have an English blend. The room note is very nice. I get great compliments about it all the time. If you like aromatics give it a try. It might hit your taste buds too. It is mild but it's a nice respite from your strnger blends.

Black maple
Very smooth and easy. I'm fairly new to smoking different types of pipe tobacco other than what you can pick up at your local tobacco shops. I've tried several different aromatics and this is the one I always finish the day with. Zero tongue bite, burns extremely well, I'm always satisfied at the end of the bowl. My quest for the perfect tobacco is far from being over, but I always know what I'll finish the day with at this point. For what it'sworth the green river vanilla is a very very close second.

A very nice smoke
Got 1oz for Christmas and love it. A nice sweet, mild flavor. Great room note as well. If you like Lane 1Q, you will like this as well.

Good stuff.
Cool smoking. Great for those who like a lot of smoke and still won't overheat your pipe. Very mild and hard to nail down the "room note". Stays lit well and no tongue bite. Overall a pleasant smoking tobacco. Basically exactly as C&D describes it.
