Cornell & Diehl Exclusive

This is a special treat if you're a real Perique fan. Cornell & Diehl's Exclusive is made with 50% of the dark Louisiana tobacco, balanced by toasty red Virginia, and an especially tame Cavendish. The result is bold and spicy, while being remarkably cool. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Powerful
If you're looking for a Perique bomb, you've found it. I like it and, if you really like perique, you will probably like it, too. I wouldn't recommend smoking it on an empty stomach.

Strong
Very nice, robust Plum-ey perique. Quite strong, not to be taken lightly or on an empty stomach. Ghosts quite a bit so be sure to clean between bowls or dedicate a pipe to this type of blend

It's O.K.
Finding the right tobacco is like dating; keep looking until you find the one for you. This one is a bit robust for me.

Rich, Rich, Rich
THIS is an Exclusive tobacco! Very rich in perique. If you like perique and want a Va/Per with some 'stones', this is it. Remember perique is rich and right out of the bag, (I bought bulk), I found it's necessary to fill your bowl a little loosely. From there it's on Brothers and Sisters. Smoke it on an empty stomach and you will get that funny feeling in the pit of your stomach that we're all at least a bit familiar with, but then that's how it shows it's strength. Burns really well in my experience with it. The perique definitely takes a front seat though. Virginias are there enough, in my opinion, enough to call it a VA/Per. I find myself reaching for it often....like daily. Its aroma won't win any prizes but hey who's competing?

I have a new friend in Exclusive!
As an avid VaPer smoker, I was intrigued by the description given for this blend...50% Perique was something I had to try and I'm very glad I did. The bag note was redolent with that plummy, fruity smell....the hay like Virginia can be detected as well. To my nose and taste, the Cavendish is no where to be found in this blend...this is a potent blend...rife with nicotine, but smooth when smoked...the cut is ribbon-like and packs well but will burn hot if drawn too vigorously...take your time and sip away and you will be rewarded with a taste treat...it burns clear to the bottom with very little dottle...I have found I prefer this in a relatively narrow (3/4"-7/8") bore with good depth to it...this blend becomes quite complex for me when smoked like this...the parts showing themselves with the exception of the Cavendish...must be very little of it in here..although some Green River might be a nice addition...I might have to do some experimenting! Either way a great blend for true Perique fans for our friends at Cornell & Diehl.

Damn Good Stuff
Cornell & Diehl Exclusive is a really good smoke with the right amount of sweet tobacco flavor. I received it yesterday afternoon and have all-ready smoked an Oz of it. I do not find it to be too strong and it burns cool and does no bite. It defiantly an all-day blend. I order tobacco every week or two and It’s is now on the top of my rotation and I am now ordering 8 Oz at a time.

VaPer at it's best!
Wild not mild, so if you normally smoke mild to medium blends use a small pipe. But the flavor is the best I've ever experienced. Bag note is awesome! 50% perique is doable because the unsweetened Cavendish makes it work. A brilliant blend of high quality tobaccos.
