Cornell & Diehl Nutty Irishman begins with a base of mellow Burley, soft black Cavendish, and tangy Virginia - pretty much what you would expect for an aromatic, but this is when it takes an unexpected turn. The blend is topped with the warm hazelnut flavor of Frangelico liqueur and a splash of Irish Mist. C&D's Nutty Irishman is definitely not your typical aromatic blend but if aros are your thing, you should pick some up.
This isn't bad. It's almost like Autumn Evening was mixed with Sutliff Vanilla Custard, but both were toned down. It would be great if I hadn't had those other blends, because I like both of those blends better. It was a crowd pleaser though smell wise.

I love tabacco that is full of flavor with little to no bite. This blend is perfect for a breakfast or midnight smoke. This blend burns nice and slow with the perfect amount of frangelico that's not overwhelming. The aroma is very pleasant when around a group of friends, everyone will be asking about it.

I don’t usually smoke aromatic tobacco, but this is a good one. There’s something a little bit different about Nutty Irishman, kind of a “warmness” about it. The flavor is subtle, the burley is not overpowering, the aroma is wonderful. Definitely a two pipe experience & a definite welcomed pause from my usual English/ Latakia blends.

This is fantastic! The flavors are present without being overwhelming or cloying. I’m a big fan of aromatics and this one is great. Lights right up and stays lit. No bite at all and a very pleasing smoke. The finish goes beyond the wonderful nutty flavor which enhances the rich tobacco.

This has become one of my go to favorites. On my palate, it has a full bodied mellow flavor, never bites, not bitter. There is a distinct nutty flavor (reminds me of black walnuts) and woodsy tones overall. I often use this the blend with more generic tobaccos to tone down the bitterness and mellow them out.

Honestly, this is my least favorite aromatic I have tried to date. I love C & D. But this one just doesn't work in my opinion. You get some flavor right at the start, but after that it becomes very bland, at least to me. It smells great...but thats about it.

A friend gave me this from the can and I loved it. Smelled and tasted similar to butterscotch. Great porch note tagging along with me into the house.
I bought some bulk, but have learned from experience to only buy a little to try when buying bulk. This smelled as it should, in the bag, but did not taste of butterscotch. It burned my nose and throat like cigar tobacco. It didn't smell like cigars when burning, nor like Nutty Irishman and didn't smell like it did from the can. I'll try the can/tin next time.

This tobacco is smooth and relaxing. It's not strong. It is creamy and sweet. Like all tobacco, it you add too much heat, it will become harsh. Sip it slow and you will definitely coax a great flavor out of it. Thanks C&D!

When I open this tobacco for the first time it was like sitting in the Snickers portion of the Hershey factory. Tobacco is more moderate as far as boldness goes. I enjoy this as a great relaxing smoke. However it is a bit to too strong to smoke while working in the yard. Fantastic smoke over all and great flavor.

I found neither Nutty nor Irish in the tobacco... I should know, I'm a little of both...
The tin aroma was great, yes nutty and almost fruity. Room note fair but very light and the bowl(s) stayed lit through the entire smoke.
To me this tobacco was just harsh with some tongue bite and it left a drying in the mouth and back of the throat.

The nose in the tin for this tobacco is amazing. The room note however was not for me. It tastes, as the description suggests, a lot like liquor. From the smell I expected to taste Irish Cream but, in fact, the taste I get is of Irish Whiskey; Irish Whiskey is not really my thing. Finally, it should be noted that, although this blend is kept in a sealed mason jar like my other tobaccos, it is drying out all on its own and at an alarming rate. All in all, sadly not for me. If Irish Cream is what you seek, I personally recommend CAO Eileen's Dream.

This is a nice mildly aromatic blend that is easy on the tongue, but still has a nice mild flavor and a really decent room note. It is a very pleasing tobacco to both the smoker and those around them. Definitely part of my weekly rotation of tobaccos.
